Is this trip for you?

Activity Level: 3 (Moderate)

This trip is classified Road

Average daily distance: 52km (32 miles) with 5 days cycling

Terrain and route: 90% tarmac roads, 10% gravel/unpaved roads

This trip will require a moderate to good level of fitness as all the rides are point to point on mainly surfaced, undulating roads with no vehicle support. Most of the route follows minor roads with light traffic. However, there are some short sections on larger roads where traffic may be heavier, but these are kept to a minimum. Climbs tend to be short but relatively steep in nature, rather than long and sustained, reflecting the coastal topography, dropping into and climbing out of bays and inlets. There are some flatter sections which tend to follow estuaries inland.
