Highlights of Kerala

The trip had just the right mix of cultural experiences & free time. Our guide, Biju, made the trip. His knowledge, story telling, help & advice meant we felt safe & supported, and could concentrate on just enjoying the tour. Without him it wouldn’t have been as good.

Most Inspirational Moment

Walking safari in Periyar, public laundry in Kochin, fish market in Kovalam, the hills in Thekkady, the houseboat tour, weighing the babies in the snake temple, cooking with the family.... and all the unexpected moments- religious celebrations in the street, local children, the meals, the sunsets, the bonding as a group.

Thoughts on Group Leader

The success of the trip was entirely down to Biju. He was organised & clearly communicated the itinerary each day. He helped answer questions, solve issues & pre-empted our needs. He made sure the activities were enjoyable for all 4 people on the trip, catering to different abilities & interests with care & humour. His stories & cultural knowledge really bought the places to life & gave us a unique insight into the life of the local people. I would highly recommend him as a tour leader.

Egypt: Alexandria to Aswan

I just returned from Egypt and it was one of the best trips of my life. Mohamad Shabaan, our guide, was excellent. His love for Egypt is evident and he shared his passion with us. The shear number and impressive extent of temples, tombs and sites visited were incredible. What a heritage Egypt possesses; it was a life long dream to see the pyramids and the country. My 12 fellow travelers were the coolest people in the world: Brits! Love the trip and will be recommending it to everyone.

Most Inspirational Moment

The GEM, the pyramids, Abu Simbel, the Valley of the Kings, Karnak and the many other sites. A surprise highlight was the Natural Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), with the mommies. A treat for anyone who appreciates what the Egyptian culture has brought to humanity.

Thoughts on Group Leader

The passion and love of Egypt was evident in Mohamad and was contagious with the whole group. A very jovial person, Mohamad improved the trip immensely.

Highlights of Albania

Albania is a lovely country with so much to see and do. This was a very well organized trip with good accommodations and an excellent guide and driver

Egypt: Alexandria to Aswan

The overall experience from our trip was excellent and surpassed our expectations. In particular our guide, Mohamed, was superb, we felt well looked after by Exodus in every town and the quality of the hotels surpassed our expectations.

Cairo: The GEM and Pyramids - worth visiting Egypt just to see these! Alexandria: The Metropole Hotel - a special place to stay despite the extreme traffic noise, and we enjoyed wandering around the night market on our free evening. Aswan: the visit to the Nubian house and Elephantie Island and lunch on the Felucca (even though it could sail due to the high winds); Abu Simbel & Philae Temple.

We cannot praise Mohamed highly enough. He gave 150% to the group; he was always on time, friendly and open to our comments. We were particularly impressed by his energy and good humour as he was observing Ramadan for most of our trip which can't have been easy, especially with several of the group wanting coffees (his favourite drink) at every opportunity! We will be recommending him to any friends wanting to visit Egypt.

Discover Sri Lanka

The food was good the hotels were good albeit 1 was noisy. The itinerary was excellent and we covered so much in the time we were there. Our guide was excellent and his knowledge and love for his country were seriously impressive

The elephant safari. Visit to the tooth temple. The beach, too many as the whole trip was a highlight

India’s North & South

This was our first time travelling with Exodus and we have had a superb experience. From the initial enquiry about the trip, booking ,departure/ joining details and trip exceeded expectations.

Visiting the Taj Mahal at sunrise and learning more about religion and the people of India.

Naveen introduced himself to us prior to the trip which was very welcoming. He went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great trip. He was very knowledgeable across many topics and was very personable. He made the group comfortable and relaxed with each other. With regards to the gas shortage as the trip went on, he quickly arranged substitute venues for meals and toilet/ lunch stops at short notice.

Essential Turkey

All objectives achieved in terms of historical sites explored. Exodus delivery is exactly matched to our requirements in terms of organisation, hotel venues and travel experience

Hike Spain's Sierra de Aitana

Had a fabulous week in Sierra de Aitana – lovely scenic walks – quite challenging- with each day’s itinerary mapped out the previous evening by José our amazing guide. We knew what to expect each day & the descriptions were mostly accurate! Had great information every day about local & national history, the plants & fauna & the wildlife. Saw the amazing vultures fairly close up which was very special.

The scenery, the peaceful & tranquil surroundings, a great guide, great accommodation, a nice friendly group, great food - all in all a fabulous trip that I would highly recommend to seasoned hikers.

Josè was a highly effective guide with a forensic knowledge of the mountains we hiked and those that surrounded us. He imparted his knowledge with humour & joy about the terrain, rock faces, plants, trees and local wildlife. He was fabulous!! Also he was a fantastic baker & took the time to make us a cake most days & then showed off his paella- making skills on the last night!
