FAQs on Chile Tours

How many days do you need in Chile?

Home to awesome mountains, sea life, desert and glaciers, Chile is one of the most diverse countries in the world. If you plan on travelling around the highlights on your Chile trip, anything from 13 to 15 days should be ample time to discover the captivating contrasts. If, however, you’d rather enjoy an introductory trip to the Antarctic Peninsula then we recommend just 8 days.

How can I spend 2 weeks in Chile?

If you’re concerned that you won’t be able to fill two weeks in Chile, you needn’t worry. This South American country packs a punch and will never cease to amaze you with its natural wonders and rich history. Exploring the fjords, glaciers and mountains of southern Chile alone can take 15 days. Follow in the footsteps of Charles Darwin and journey along fjords and through the Torres National Park, enjoying a helicopter tour and Zodiac trips along the way, which take you closer to penguin colonies and sea lions. Or you could opt for Chile tours that see you cycling through the Lake District, visiting volcanoes and exploring Conguillio National Park.

Is Chile a good place to visit?

It’s a resounding yes; Chile is a terrific place to visit. Our Chile tours ensure you see all the main sights as well as introducing you to the history, culture and wildlife of each destination. From the tranquil lakes, imposing peaks and giant glaciers of Patagonia to the desolate Atacama Desert, a land of undeniable beauty awaits you on our Chile tours.

When should I go to Chile?

The seasons in Chile are opposite to those of the UK, with the warmer months being between October and March. Temperatures can reach around 22°C and daylight hours are longer, making them ideal times to travel on Chile tours.

What can you do in Chile for a week?

While we would recommend at least 13 days for your Chile trip, you can still squeeze quite a lot into a week, but you’d be best visiting one area rather than trying to see everything in one go. Perhaps you want to trek through Patagonia, discover the rock formations in the Atacama Desert or explore the mountains, glaciers and icebergs of Torres del Paine National Park.
