Most Inspirational Moment
Camel ride into the desert and night in the camp. Otherwise: Chefchaoen - this was not on the itinerary, but was able to visit it before as I spent 4 days in Tangier before the trip and then took the train to Casablanca (20 Euros First class, highly recommended). Would recommend looking into the possibility of including Tangier and, in particular, Chefchaoen on the itinerary.

Late October should count as a "winter" departure. We were all very glad that we had packed a few warm clothes and should probably have packed more of them.

Good leader however a little authoritarian, demanding (not recommending or advising) the clothing I should wear rather than accepting that I have the experience and awareness of my tolerances to climate conditions.
Advice for Potential Travellers
The accommodation, wind and dust can pose challenges however if you can embrace these issues as being part of the Annapurna Circuit you'll enjoy the experience to its maximum effect.
Fantastic holiday
The crew were fantastic. Group leader Ronney Kavari was a great leader, explaining the plans for each day and telling us what to expect with plenty of local tips. He was an exceptional spotter of wildlife and we saw large numbers of a huge variety of animals and birds. He was also very knowledgeable about the animals, birds and plants as well as the country. There was plenty of opportunities to see and photograph.
Benson was the main driver and Jonas the main cook and the food was very good. All the crew were very friendly with a good sense of humour. The tents went up and came down very efficiently.
The optional trips were also good-at least the ones we did: Visit to the Township was very interesting and enjoyable but quite thought provoking as well. We also went on the flight over the desert and although we enjoyed it, it was quite long and expensive and there was no commentary and the plane was very old-I don’t think we would recommend this at the price.
We would thoroughly recommend this trip, esp with the crew we had!

Be prepared to camp! Despite this being clear in the description some people found this tiring.
Cycling laos
The trip was not the best one I have experienced with exodus,I got the feeling the group was split most of the group did to mix and the group I felt did not gel which I found quite hard this for me was very disappointing,maybe I think this will put me off cycling with exodus again,

Stunning scenery and such weather!
Despite a last minute itinerary alteration due to ferry timetable changes, thus was a well-planned, wonderfully lead week mixing somewhat challenging walks with sightseeing and wonderful fellow travellers. We sampled many local dishes in lovely tavernas and village eateries and enjoyed some very amusing moments. A great week.

Advice for Potential Travellers
This trip is categorised as 1 but there are some quite tricky descents on some walks. The option to take the cable car down to the boat trip round the Caldera should be considered if you are not happy about a 600 step (uneven, in some places slippery) walk you share with donkeys carrying passengers up from the quayside. I know I would have preferred this, especially as I slipped and fell at one point.
Annapurna Guides, Porters and Sherpa - Easily the best!
The trip was made by a combination of two excellent guides, a wonderful hard working team of porters and a cheerful experienced Sherpa. They all work incredibly hard in their respective roles and simply made the holiday. Always encouraging, helpful and cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Easily the best guides of all my many Exodus trips, they were devoted to their role.
It is incredible how the porters manage to carry such loads. Tourism is a major economic force for Nepal and without them tourism would cease in its current form. They are the unsung heroes and must be supported including financially as it is a dying skill, sad for Nepal and for those of us who loved our trip.
Most Inspirational Moment
The walks were so varied. I personally loved the walk down the gorge after our early morning walk to see sun rise over Poon Hill. It was the most beautiful grove with stupas. The views and scenery were tremendous. A very spiritual place. We had a free day in Kathmandu and I thought it was great, fantastic trip in a rickshaw. A big plus is that I was not hassled at all in either Pokhara or Kathmandu, a big contrast to my experience in India and in particular Delhi. Of course the result of reaching Annapurna Base Camp has to be mentioned. We did it!

Easily the best guide from all my trips. You can safely promote Nepal with confidence due to Prasant. he was always cheerful, helpful and considerate. Behind the scenes he quietly was observing us particularly in respect of health issues. This trip was physically the hardest I have done and his observational skill was much needed and valued. I was concerned about one girl who was quietly feeling unwell with AMS, she told me she was feeling unwell, outwardly nothing apparent. He straightaway went to see her, talked and cheered her up and thereafter made a point of seeing how she was. He was the most professional of all the guides of all the many trips I have been on, both Prasant and Hari were good family men and were mature and responsible. I got ill on my trip and Hari kindly offered to carry my day sac. It made a huge difference to me. I was nervous of the suspension bridges and they helped me over, in the event there are 10 not 5 bridges as per your trip notes. One is a 5 minute walk and they helped me get over them. From the trips I have done, Prasant work as a guide was the most demanding with the most responsibilities and therefore by definition his role is that of a senior guide for Exodus. You are in safe hands! They were a great team who had known each other for many years: their friendship and harmony really showed and benefitted the group.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Take US dollars for the tourist visa. The cost is USD 25, compared to GBP21, not a good exchange rate! Take exact money for this visa, my till didn't have any change. Easiest to change money at the hotel, less hustle and stress after a long journey and a calmer atmosphere. Just a slight difference in the rate but worth it. Very easy to change money at Pokhara. It is very much a tourist town. Make sure you spend/donate your Nepaiese money, the Government only give you 15% back I understand. Take lots of layers, you need to cope with the heat of Kathmandu and the day walks with the cold at the base camps.
Wildlife Adventure of a Lifetime
I have been dreaming of seeing lemurs in the wild since I was young and this trip did not disappoint. I had never done a group tour before and was admittedly very hesitant to sign-up for one, but the itinerary allowed me to see most of what I wanted to, so I thought I’d give it a try. In the two weeks, we were able to see thirteen species of lemurs, which was thrilling and more than I had expected. The itinerary is thoughtfully laid out and even the long days travelling were made better by the many stops and stories from our group leader. I can’t describe the feeling of first arriving to our cabins in Andasibe to the sounds of Indri calls in the forest. It was really out of this world. The diversity of landscapes and parks that we visited was excellent and I couldn’t have planned it better myself. Having a local guide and engaging (mostly) with local tour operators and businesses was an important aspect of the trip for me as well. Overall, excellent adventure that I wish I could go back in time and do again.

Definitely the first night we arrived in Andasibe to the call of Indris in the distance. That will be a memory that stays with me forever. The dry forests and desert landscapes were so incredible to see as well. The beach in Anakao at the end, spectacular! Getting to know our group leader as well and spending time with her on the trip was also very special, as well as the lovely people in our group. Perhaps not inspirational, more sobering, was getting to see first-hand the devastating effects of slash-and-burn agriculture. It was disheartening to witness this and other environmental destruction. The biodiversity in Madagascar is particularly precious and I fear it will be gone within the next couple decades. I'm more committed than ever in continuing to support local organizations to protect what still remains. Please do not purchase any souvenir animal products, wood products, gemstones or other trinkets that can't be sourced ethically. Foreigners continue to have a role in driving some (if not much) of the ruin you will witness.
Thoughts on Group Leader
She was excellent. I can't say enough good things about her. She is intelligent, kind and had a great sense of humour. She took her job very seriously and had so much integrity, I didn't question for a moment that we were in great hands the whole trip. We had quite a large group, 16 people (which I was not aware of before arriving in Madagascar) and initially worried about how one person was going to be able to manage so many people, but she did so with great expertise and care. It was a tough job for her, but I always felt she had all of our best interests at heart and was flexible with the schedule, depending on how people were feeling and what their needs were. I was quite sad at the end to say goodbye!
Advice for Potential Travellers
Take it as it comes, be flexible and don't arrive with too many expectations. I've done a lot of traveling and don't take this privilege for granted, but this was one of the top adventures I've ever had. The opportunity to see the most endangered mammals on the planet and the exquisite biodiversity this island has to offer, really can't be matched. Try and stay in the moment and really appreciate every minute of this adventure. If you're not comfortable being in an intensive group situation or going without creature comforts, this may not however be the trip for you. Expect and plan for digestive illness, it comes with the territory. I suffered quite a bad case of food poisoning, but the group leader managed it well and allowed for me to convalesce for a couple days before rejoining the tour. Educate yourselves before coming, about the island, peoples and appropriate conduct when visiting delicate ecosystems. Do not feed the animals, ever, we had some people who did this and it was incredibly upsetting.
Absolutely fantastic and unforgettable experience
Every time we go on a trip with Exodus we don’t think the next can compete but this was unique and wonderful in its own way and another trip we shan’t every forget. Mount Kinabalu summit was tough but well worth it and we were lucky to be rewarded with wonderful views. I never expected that we would get to see as much wildlife as we did and the orang-utans and optional visits to sun bears and probiscus monkeys were just amazing.

The orang-utan sanctuary was really quite emotional, and I felt inspired almost immediately to adopt an orang-utan, Bidu-Bidu to support the sanctuary. Submitting Mount Kinabalu was also incredible and showed me what the mind can help the body achieve when you are determined.

Both our group leaders in both Peninsula Malaysia and Borneo were brilliant. They clearly knew a lot about the country they live in and the wildlife and worked above and beyond throughout.
Advice for Potential Travellers
I would take some thermals for the summit climb as these are thinner and easier to pack than a big coat. Also, definitely avail yourself of massage services in Cameron Highlands and at the Kinabalu resort as they were great value for money and so worth it. We used laundry services of several of the places we stayed in as well and these were really handy and would allow you to pack light.
As beautiful as the pictures
I was a little concerned when I booked this trip that it was a really popular destination that might prove disappointing when seen for real. I need not have worried one bit – the Amalfi coast is every bit as beautiful as its reputation suggests. The itinerary on this trip allowed us to enjoy amazing walks, visit atmospheric towns, learn about the geography and history of the area, and all in great company with a friendly, enthusiastic group of fellow travellers!

Albert was great! He appeared laid-back and relaxed, but made arrangements smoothly and inconspicuously so everything ran smoothly. Albert was very good at ensuring all members of the group were catered for, making sure that anyone who'd walked far enough could get transport and meet up with the group again later, while also offering extra detours for those with energy left.
