Had a great time over the six days through Brittany and Normandy. Yannis made the trip enjoyable, relaxed, well organised and interesting. It was run at a good pace, nothing felt to long or to short, was plenty to take in and see. Cycle routes were interesting and kept us off a lot of roads where possible. Food stops and restaurants that Yannis took us too were all lovely with plenty of options to try. The trip to the cidre distillery was a nice stop to break up some of the heavier history stops. We covered a good amount of history, was just the right amount. Hotels were all well located, bathrooms were a little odd in some as would have been nice to have a shower after long rides, but had to make do with baths in a few. Bikes were easy to ride and adjust where needed. Overall would be more than happy to travel with Exodus on another cycle trip, hoping more locations in France become available as guided trips as prefer these over self guided options.
Mont Saint Micheal was the reason for booking so to see this was the big highlight. Glad we had enough time to go in and have a look around the church.
Yannis was a great tour leader, he keep everything well organised, relaxed and interesting and managed our rides well. Was always very helpful and considerate. Also picked good restaurants with plenty of options to pick from. Brough great energy and joy to each day. Thank you.
Everything was perfectly arranged during our holiday, the tour guide Yannis Brousset was excellent and took care of all the arrangements during our holiday, so we were thoroughly able to relax and enjoy the beautiful areas we visited with Yannis providing with just the right amount of detail at the numerous interest spots we stopped at. The various events organised were brilliant.
Cycling through the beautiful countryside and villages
Thank you so much Yannis you made our trip so enjoyable and looked after us extremely well
Interesting group, great guide and fantastic area to explore.
Seafood restaurant, Mont-Saint-Michel, Concale for oysters, Dinan, sea swimming, cidre tasting.
Yannis made the trip, great leader, calm efficient, sociable and fun.
I had a great time on the trip. Although the bike tour was challenging, it was very interesting and I felt that I was in good hands. The guides were friendly, competent and fun. My only negative comment would be that we could have had a free day to relax and rest up a bit from the constant movement from hotel to hotel. In spite of this, I felt that the trip was well worth the expense.
The beautiful scenery and the challenging riding conditions.
Jannis and Pascal were always friendly, calm, patient, helpful and fun. I felt like I was part of a family as we toured through Normandy and Brittany.
We felt the support was great, every day we had a clear explanation of what to expect and nothing was too much trouble for our guides
Ridings along the canals of Brittany
He was superb in dealing with the range of ages in the group and health concerns
Mixed walks along the stunning French Riviera coastline coupled with visits to some of the most famous gardens in the region. Opportunity to learn about the history of the area and a must for garden lovers. Warm enough to swim in peaceful Med sea in October. Menton, the resort were stayed throughout our trip, retains the atmosphere of genteel aristocratic tourism. The Italian influence is strong as the town is just a few kilometres from the Italian border. Most of the restaurants serve Italian food.
Every time we turned a corner to see another beautiful view of the Med, the coastline and the azure sky. The visit to the Ephrussi villa and garden owned by Beatrice Rothschild early last century with its 18th century interior and immaculate gardens with the sea on either side stood out.
Gee was amazing from start to finish - friendly, informed and very helpful with walking techniques. She always went the extra mile. For example, she joining our group every night for dinner even though the dinners were not part of the trip.
Just go! This is possibly the most beautiful of the 10 or so walking holidays I've been on in Southern Europe (not all with Exodus). Take your walking sticks and a good pair of walking boots. Part of one walk and the walk on the last day were down tricky rocky slopes which were too difficult for me and I think more difficult than the Level 2 of the trip. The guide arranged for those of us who didn't want to join the difficult walks a way back on the bus. This did not detract from my overall delight with the trip.

The wild Algarve and its people are wonderful! The hikes along the high cliffs were truly gorgeous and inspiring. We love learning about the places we travel in, which is why we keep returning to Exodus for tours. The leaders made frequent stops along our walks to explain about geology, history and even the arts of the area, including why the music genre of Fado was so important during the rule of Portugal’s dictator (when we were looking at a town’s murals of a singer).
Meeting the people of Portugal, especially all the interesting and talented crafts people and artists who are keeping important traditions alive.
Both Rafael and Francisco were awesome! They were always patient and supportive. Francisco took many opportunities to stop and explain about the geology, history or the arts of the area, asking 'why is this important?' which really engages the listener. We learned so much about Portugal!
We only had 1 day of rain but were very glad we were prepared with rain proof ponchos (be sure and check beforehand that your jacket is truly rain proof!). Be sure and train going up hills, there were some long climbs.
Our recent trip to Andalucía was nothing short of spectacular. Nestled in the heart of the countryside, I stayed at a rustic Cortijo that perfectly blended traditional charm with modern comfort. Surrounded by olive groves and rolling hills, the Cortijo offered a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views and a cozy, authentic atmosphere.
What truly elevated the experience was the cuisine. Every meal was a celebration of Andalusian flavors—fresh, vibrant, and deeply satisfying – each dish was crafted with care and passion.
Whether exploring nearby whitewashed villages, hiking through the Sierra Nevada, or simply relaxing under the stars with a glass of local wine, this trip was unforgettable.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking a soulful escape filled with beauty, flavor, and authentic Spanish hospitality.
Everything
Fantastic
Walking poles do come in quite handy
