Providing food and medical supplies for Yala Park drivers
Before travel was paused, our core team of National Park jeep drivers played a key role in creating unforgettable experiences for Exodus travellers, by transporting them around the spectacular Yala National Park in Sri Lanka. And now, our operator team want to support our drivers and their families in this difficult time of need.
The Community Kickstart grant will be used to purchase and distribute a month’s worth of food, sanitary and medical rations for seven families. Our operator team will communicate directly with each family to understand what their key needs are, and then distribute the supplies themselves.
“In the midst of the concern and sadness we feel for our extended teams across the world at this time of huge economic difficulty, we are so heartened by initiatives such as this one in Sri Lanka. It is a tough time for all our local partners, which is why it’s all the more inspiring to see them devise ways of supporting those who would normally play such a key role in making Exodus’ adventures possible.”
