Nothing can describe the majesty of the greatest of all canyons, the Grand Canyon. Its size is incomprehensible to those peering into the gorge from the top. Light plays with forms and colours as the sun moves across the sky and offers an ever-changing panorama. Some of the rock layers exposed in this 16km-wide and 1500m-deep canyon are over 1.7 billion years old.

Our Grand Canyon tours at sunrise are extra special: as the sun appears over the mountains, its rays start filtering into the canyon, causing an explosion of colour and turning the rocks shades of red, orange and bronze. It's a brilliant way to experience this stupendous natural wonder – and if you're lucky, you might spot Californian condors soaring overhead.
