A very underrated trip with a real focus on wildlife, and there is lots to see. The walking is spot on for a moderate trip but there is time to stop and take photos and learn about the area and the wildlife. Trails are good and very quiet. It’s definitely a place to get away from the rest of the world but with a homely hotel with good food at the end of the day.

It’s More Extraordinary with Exodus
We believe that travel is more than just ticking off destinations from a list. It’s about immersing yourself in the heart of each place, going beyond the surface to truly discover a destination. With over 50 years of experience under our belts, our incredible adventures span all seven continents and allow you to delve deeper—exploring not just the iconic sights but also the hidden corners known only to the locals, where no other tours go.
Our expert local guides are the secret behind every extraordinary adventure. But they’re not just tour guides. To our travellers, they’re captivating storytellers, helpful translators, fountains of knowledge, motivators and reservoirs of serotonin – who make each adventure a once-in-a-lifetime experience. They’re the people who take you into their family’s home for fresh lemonade after a day of cycling through rice paddies in Vietnam. The ones who tell you about the history behind Dubrovnik’s monuments before whisking you away to a hidden vineyard by the beach. And the kind of guides who stay by your side, during the most challenging ascents in the Himalya. They’re with you every step of the way, enhancing every experience– which is why adventures are simply more extraordinary with Exodus.

Jennifer Mann Bulgaria: Rodopi Mountains
Melissa Hammond Walking in SardiniaTo experience a part of Italy which feels still relatively untouched is truly special. We were often walking without seeing anyone else!
The Scenery is beautiful and these walks offer a variety of coastal, forest and mountain views.
It was a moderate walk, you need to be in good fitness and the summer months can be hot but there was nothing difficult.
The hotel has changed since a year or so ago, so some reviews on here are old. This hotel is a beautiful setting with some great views from the terrace and very spacious. Just a 10 minute walk to the town’s shops cafes and Gelato! The hotel is family run and they are very welcoming and are involved in every area of the hotel. The food was fresh and varied and potions are generous – you wont go hungry!
Rebecca steward Bulgaria: Rodopi MountainsThis was a holiday: good food, good weather, relaxing hotel, nice hosts , great group, well organised. An exploration, fabulous unhurried but exhilarating walks, wonderful scenery and an education. Our guide Julian seemed to know and love all the wildlife, the butterflies and birds, the geology, geography, mythology and the current social and political status of Bulgaria. An interesting , informative and stimulating trip for mind and body.
