Highlights of Morocco February 2025

This was a fantastic trip with so many different experiences-Imperial cities, souks, Roman remains, desert, mountains, gorges, kasbahs and coast combined with stunning scenery.

Most Inspirational Moment

Many inspiring moments but especially the desert experience and the staying at the village in the High Atlas Mountains which included a 5km hike up to the Riad and then some hikes through other villages.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Our group leader was Abderrahim Toudaoui who was excellent throughout. It was obvious that he loved his country and his enthusiasm and knowledge was second to none. He was very attentive to the safety and welfare of the group and was able to combine the serious with much humour.A great asset!

Advice for Potential Travellers

There are some long drives but the variation in the scenery more than made up for the lengths of some of the drives and furthermore, numerous stops were made to break the journeys. Don't expect 5 star luxury but do expect a thoroughly immersive trip in the culture of this fascinating country.

A Perfect Blend of Culture, Cuisine & Countryside!

If you’re looking for the ultimate Tuscan escape, Tuscany: Food, Culture & Wine is the trip for you! From wandering through charming medieval towns to tasting world-class wines straight from the vineyard, every moment is rich with authenticity and flavor. The local cuisine is unforgettable—you’ll be dreaming about those Tuscan dishes long after you’re home. This trip is a must for foodies, wine lovers, and anyone who wants to experience the true heart of Italy in the most delicious and memorable way.

Most Inspirational Moment

Standing in the middle of a sun-drenched vineyard, surrounded by rolling Tuscan hills, sipping wine made just meters away, was truly unforgettable. Listening to the winemaker share their passion, family history, and dedication to tradition reminded me how deeply connected food, land, and culture are in this region. It was a beautiful reminder to slow down, savor the moment, and appreciate the simple joys in life.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Our group leader’s passion for the region truly came through when she shared her personal connection to Tuscany’s culture and traditions. One of the most inspiring moments was during a visit to a small, family-run winery—she translated, explained, and added context that brought everything to life. Her knowledge and ability to bridge the local experience with our group made the moment feel even more meaningful. It was clear she cared deeply about helping us not just see Tuscany, but truly understand it.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Bring comfortable walking shoes—you’ll be exploring cobblestone streets and beautiful countryside paths. Be prepared for a leisurely pace when it comes to meals and activities; it's all about savoring the experience. If you have dietary restrictions or medical needs, make sure to communicate them clearly and follow up, even if they’re listed in your booking. Most importantly, come with an open mind, a big appetite, and a readiness to immerse yourself in Tuscany’s rich culture, flavors, and slower way of life. It’s truly a trip to be savored.

Challenging unless you are an athlete

Spent more time watching the terrain (each step) than the actual beauty of Mont Blanc. Crowded even in last week of June.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Adrian is wonderful, knowledgeable and very friendly.

Advice for Potential Travellers

If expectations are to enjoy the nature, this may not be the trip for you. Steep ups and downs along with challenging terrain makes it difficult to enjoy views. Do this if you want to check this off your list as achievement. Crowds doesn’t help in this context either.

More than amazing!

The Prosecco Hills & Hidden Venice tour was truly unforgettable. From hiking through the breathtaking Prosecco Hills to discovering Venice’s hidden gems, every moment was amazing. Our tour leaders were fantastic—knowledgeable, kind, and always going the extra mile to ensure our comfort and enjoyment and all the hotel staff and people we shared with. If you want an experience that combines stunning scenery, rich culture, and amazing guides, this is the trip for you!

Most Inspirational Moment

The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views at every turn. Add to that the delicious food and, of course, the Prosecco—an unforgettable combination that made the trip even more special!

Thoughts on Group Leader

Vania was an excellent tour leader—both professional and genuinely kind! She was always on top of everything, ensuring we felt safe and comfortable, all while bringing tons of laughter to the group.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Be prepared to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Prosecco Hills and Venice! Wear comfortable shoes for hiking, bring layers for varying temperatures, and don't forget to stay hydrated. Take time to savor the local food and, of course, the Prosecco—it’s part of the experience! Most importantly, be open to the insights and stories from your tour leaders—they truly enhance the journey and help you appreciate the region on a deeper level.

Bears and Walks

Lovely break in the wilds of Romania

Most Inspirational Moment

Seeing the bears in true nature

Thoughts on Group Leader

Martin - great leader who gave us loads of background and looked after us

Advice for Potential Travellers

Thanks for all the advice from previous reviews - ie take eye mask, ear plugs, sandwich box etc. All were really handy. A great holiday, good/varied mountain walks, lovely seeing the bears both in the wild and in the sanctuary and the trip notes are pretty comprehensive My advice would be to go out early and pass a night or 2 in Bucharest before joining the trip at the airport. I stayed at the Hotel Duke (an Exodus recommendation which was really comfortable). It was easy to get to on the 100 bus from right outside the airport and walking distance of the attractions of the Old Town. Close to the Metro too. It certainly made the transfer to the mountains better (avoiding a really early start) and the city is worth a visit too. Loads of attractions, bars etc - the Rough Guide really helped me find my way around.

Beautiful Capitals of Central Europe

Fabulous experience!

A well balanced trip taking in nature, history, architecture and more in this fascinating part of the world.

Most Inspirational Moment

Almost too many to mention! Tallin was a beautifully preserved old town. Riga an exciting and busy city. Hill of crosses was very moving . The vsits to the sea / lagoon were invigorating and a great break from the cities. The history of the region was so interesting.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Andrius was the perfect guide! He kept us entertained throughout with his amazing knowledge of everything to do with the region. Passionate about the history and nature of each of the countries we visited. Kept our group (15) organised and punctual throughout, and took a personal interest in each of us. And then there were the jokes...

Advice for Potential Travellers

Prepare for all weathers. We had a range from 30+ degrees to heavy rain over the trip. Good walking shoes for the tours/trips.

Canadian Rockies - Jasper to Banff

If you want to experience true Canada, then this trip is definitely a ‘bucket list’ adventure. Its’ scenic beauty of the Rockies and tranquil lakes will leave you in awe of natures wonders. Visiting the most photographed lakes – Moraine and Louise is a postcard photo opportunity.

Most Inspirational Moment

Undertaking a guided Glacier Ice Walk

Thoughts on Group Leader

He was very accommodating

Advice for Potential Travellers

Waterproof clothing and shoes is definitely required, as you visit some amazing Waterfalls. Weather can be unpredictable, so hikes could be wet and muddy.
