Our recent trip to Andalucía was nothing short of spectacular. Nestled in the heart of the countryside, I stayed at a rustic Cortijo that perfectly blended traditional charm with modern comfort. Surrounded by olive groves and rolling hills, the Cortijo offered a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views and a cozy, authentic atmosphere.
What truly elevated the experience was the cuisine. Every meal was a celebration of Andalusian flavors—fresh, vibrant, and deeply satisfying – each dish was crafted with care and passion.
Whether exploring nearby whitewashed villages, hiking through the Sierra Nevada, or simply relaxing under the stars with a glass of local wine, this trip was unforgettable.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking a soulful escape filled with beauty, flavor, and authentic Spanish hospitality.

I loved the itinerary! We saw so much in Namibia and Botswana. The wild camping was very memorable in the Okavango Delta. The lodge in Etosha National Park was special as we were walking distance to a waterhole and saw rhinos and leopards! We saw all of the Big 5 on the trip. The sand dunes were a highlight as well. I felt extremely safe as a solo female traveler on the trip. Everything was outstanding on the trip, and very well done. I also loved the group and sharing the experience with like-minded people.
Climbing a sand dune in the Namibian desert! I felt very connected to nature, and it was a unique experience.
Omumborombonga was an exceptional guide! He was super knowledgeable regarding history and wildlife. There was not a question he didn't know the answer to. He made us all feel safe and taken care of, and truly cared about us having a memorable adventure. I enjoyed getting to know him, and seeing Namibia through his eyes.
The drives are long, but it is worth it! You will see a lot. Not the best roads and will be very bumpy at times. Bring nausea bands or pills if you get motion sickness. No red, yellow or white clothing allowed when camping in the Delta and especially on the safari walks. You don't need to pack too much! There is laundry service at the hotel in Swakopmund. ATMS are widely available on the trip. Rands are not accepted in Botswana.
I had a wonderful week in the rural wilderness of Rodopi. This was my first hiking trip and I found the walks to be very enjoyable and manageable. The pace was leisurely with lots of wildlife stops whilst still covering a good distance each day. The trip notes are very accurate, although accommodation is basic, it’s clean, comfortable and exactly what is described and had wonderful staff and great home cooked food. The guide Julian was fantastic, very passionate and a great leader and wildlife expert.
I really enjoyed learning about all the ancient myths of the area, enjoying a totally secluded and quiet wilderness and tracking brown bears whilst learning so much about them.
Julian was brilliant, an extremely knowledgeable and passionate wildlife expert, and you could tell he genuinely loved his job. A great tour leader, always very organised and the trip ran very smoothly. Julian was also very funny and sociable and was very much a member of the group. I learnt so much from him about the Brown bears, wolves and all the species living in the Rodopi as well learning about the local culture and way of life, and Bulgaria's interesting history. His stories about local myths and legends were great and kept us all entertained especially during the more challenging walking days. He made sure the group stayed together during the hikes, and was very intuitive as to when anyone in the group needed a rest.
As all the food is local produce and made at the hotel, it's very important to give lots of notice if there is any dietary requirements such as vegan, gluten free etc. This can be catered for as long as they know in advance. The town is very small and rural so no option to buy food or snacks elsewhere. We enjoyed a 3 course meal included every night, home cooked at the hotel. As a vegetarian, I ate well every day, lots of beans, eggs, cheeses and fresh fruit and veg. The hotel made a different local Bulgarian breakfast delicacy every day and always had a selection of lunch items for us to make our own packed lunch. Lovely staff at the hotel. For the hiking, I'd strongly recommend getting some hill walking practice in, as we trekked in mountain region, the trails were almost never flat! Bring blister plasters, proper breathable hiking socks and break in your hiking boots in advance! Good ankle support boots were very much appreciated as the terrain is often rocky and uneven. Some items i included in my day back which came in handy were binoculars, a sun hat, extra blister plasters, a waterproof, some snack bars and a large water bottle. A lot of my group also had hiking polls which they found very useful, especially on the days with more descents.
This was an epic tour. Virtually ever day has a Wow moment which literally had our group in awe. Expected Grand Canyon to be amazing but Bryce Canyon was probably my favourite. Jay the Guide went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. Including a bespoke sound track for the bus. Driving into Death Valley to sound of U2 was brilliant.
So many. Reaching the top of Angels Landing in Zion was a real highlight. But every destination provided a genuinely inspiring moment.
Excellent
I am so sad this trip is being discontinued. I would possibly go again because I enjoyed it so much. Right at the top of my Exodus adventures

Just the right level, lovely group, environmentally friendly and great guides.
Both the sampling exercises of the water, and the weeding of the ice plants strangling the indigenous plants along the clifftops.
Very safe pair of hands and knowledgeable about the effects of humans on the landscape. Every outing was shattered with information about the environment, and Francisco (and Raphael) were helpful to all of us, and funny too.
Late September is a great time to visit Portugal, and getting a taste of the food and history aided our enjoyment, together with a peek at the small businesses burgeoning in the area.
The Dalmatian Coast is a real treat for cyclists. Eye-popping views and jaw dropping descents made this trip truly memorable. The history of Croatia from the ancient Greeks to the present day is evident throughout the trip.
Riding through a dark, rough, one-lane tunnel, emerging into a mountain view of the coast below, followed by a long descent to sea level, was heart-poundingly beautiful.
Marijo is an outstanding leader and human being. He guided us safely through villages and explaining along the way. I particularly appreciated his Whatsapp communication with us with details about what to expect and meeting times
I'd recommend bringing your own saddle and pedals.
What made this cycling trip special was our guide. The safety emphasis, local knowledge, and connections the guide has make this trip a wonder. This trip involves cycling every day from Matera, down along the Ionian coast, and ending by the Adriatic coast to the city of Lecce. This my fourth cycling trip with Exodus, and I have to say that every guide on this trips has been fantastic. Cycling is, in my opinion, one of the best ways to be part of the landscape at just the right speed.
The city of Matera with its cave architecture
Alessando was inspiring, attentive and a friend
Bring your own pedals and/or bike seat. Prepare for unexpected weather.
Trip was very good—a lot of driving but we got to see a lot of the country.
Our camel ride; the Roman ruins; Rabat, Essouaira, the Atlas Mountains—impossible to pick just one.
We were so fortunate to have Mohamed as our tour guide. He was perfect in every way, looking after us in every detail for our comfort and safety. He was so well organized, but above all so kind. Cannot recommend him highly enough!
Be aware that on this trip the accommodations leave a lot to be desired in terms of convenience and functionality. The weakest part of the trip.
Mallorca exceeded every expectation. It’s a destination that offers not just beauty, but depth—through its food, its people, and its peaceful corners. I left feeling nourished, inspired, and already dreaming of my next visit.
The views and food
Great! Very knowledgably
Pack in loads of energy but take in all as it is a great trip!
