Dubrovnik Trips

Join Exodus to explore the coastal city of Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic, in southern Croatia. The star attraction here is the medieval old town, enclosed by fortified walls on a peninsula. Now a World Heritage site, it promises narrow winding streets teeming with small stores and restaurants, plus magnificent baroque architecture. Additionally, the old port still operates a brisk trade in fresh fish and no Dubrovnik trip is complete without sampling the local take on crni rižot (cuttlefish ink risotto).

This was a fun, educational and exhilarating trip. As usual, our Exodus guide (Mario), was out outstanding. Highly recommend this trip.

I guess that old adage is true, you get what you pay for. This trip was cheaper than other cycling trips I have been on but it was also in a more inexpensive country. From sagging mattresses to sewer smells to non-functioning AC or heating the housing was awful.

This trip was a stunning introduction to the spectacular Dalmation Coast of Southern Croatia. Each of the four cycling days – encompassing the islands of Hvar and Korcula and the Peljesac peninsula – seem to surpass one another, culminating in the heavenly bike path that is the Vinegorje Dingac. The latter will occupy my dreams for years to come. Even the accommodations had breathtaking views of the sun dappled and island-dotted Adriatic. Having previously lived in Italy, we were pleasantly surprised at the level of preservation, cleanliness and friendliness of the Dalmatian community. This area is truly a jewel. Wonderful food (especially fresh sea food) and drink (especially for wine connoisseurs) add to the quality of this itinerary. The October weather was perfect, sunny and in the 60s F, and the roads were quiet. Dubrovnik was still busy, but manageable.
