Improve your photograpy skills in Norfolk with Paul Goldstein

Enjoy a long weekend in Norfolk staying on a private farm with five star facilities within 500 acres of land, with the river Wensum running through the property. Led by Paul Goldstein, this farm has been in his cousin's family for almost 100 years. These photo workshops coincide with spring tides at the wader spectacular at RSPB Snettisham where over 100,000 birds can display. The whole coastline and indeed North Norfolk is photogenic and although this may not be the Masai Mara Conservancies or the Poles it is an extremely enjoyable few days in good company and fantastic venue.

This photographic workshop has been covered by both the Sunday Times, The Independent and BBC Wildlife films.

Is this trip for you?

There will be two early starts and some long days. This trip is not considered to be physically demanding but reasonable fitness level is required. It is a good healthy walk to the birds in Snettisham. This bird spectacular is among the finest avian sights in Europe and less than an hour from the farm. There are also opportunities for some coastal photography as well as other scenic moments in and around the farm. Paul knows this area almost as well as the Masai Mara and will be doing his best to maximise your time in this beautiful area of East Anglia.

If you are unwell or showing any potential signs of illness please do not attend or inform us of your situation once booked if you develop late symptoms.

Following a review of all our trips we have categorised this trip as generally not suitable for persons of reduced mobility. However if you are a regular traveller on such trips, please contact customer services to discuss the trip and your personal condition.

Accommodation

Farm

Carricks at Castle Farm is a 5-star award winning guest house, located on the banks of the River Wensum in the parish of Swanton Morley, in an extraordinarily unspoilt area of the mid Wensum Valley. It has been the home of the Carrick family for almost 100 years.

It is a working farm with cattle and a couple of dogs. Covid protocols have been introduced at Castle Farm and there is plenty of space on the estate, two dining rooms to maintain social distancing and 550 acres of space on the farm! All rooms are en suite.
