Italy is an incredible mix of scenery, culture and history. Walkers have a wide choice of destinations, from spectacularly wild Sardinia to the magnificent Amalfi Coast. There’s also the Dolomites, one of Europe’s greatest mountain ranges, attracting rock climbers from around the world; and gentle walking in the rolling hills of Tuscany, home to the historic cities of Florence and Siena, medieval hilltop villages and cypress-lined avenues snaking through vineyards.
The regional variety is astounding. But wherever you go on one of our Italy walking tours, you’ll find yourself in a beautiful setting, welcomed by friendly locals, and sampling sumptuous food and wine.

Holidays to Tuscany are beyond compare. Visit the gems of Lucca, Pisa and Florence on a holiday to Italy taking in the best-kept secrets of the region. Walking holidays in Tuscany cannot be complete without a stay in the charming forests and hills of the Garfagnana. You’ll find the perfect rural retreat at the family-run agriturismo of Braccicorti – the ideal base for walking holidays in Tuscany.
What a magical week: walking one of Italy’s most spectacular coastlines in the company of a really great group led by our wonderful guide, Veriano. After a day ascending mountains or volcanoes, descending stone stairways connecting sublimely picturesque towns and villages or traversing ancient mule paths on The Path of the Gods, we would return to a warm welcome and great food from our hosts, the hospitable Acampora family, and their first-rate staff.
If you think of Tuscany you think of rolling hills. Stop. The Garfagnana Mountains are a relatively undiscovered part of Tuscany……..and they are indeed Mountains !!!! In fact they are superb mountains with beautiful climbs through gorgeous forests, onto green plateaus with alpine flowers and finally onto the rocky craggy peaks with 360 degree views far and wide. Where better to sit with your new group of friends and have a tasty picnic lunch. This is one of the best walking trips I have been on with Exodus……….made even better by the unique accommodation and the splendid food provided. I cannot fault it in any way.
We had the most amazing week traipsing through the Prosecco Hills. Our guide , Vania, was happy to share her wealth of knowledge of the landscape as well as Prosecco. Vania made sure we were well looked after and kept us entertained with her wonderful personality. The Hotel Conta was ideal for the trip and the staff were super friendly . I would not hesitate in recommending this trip to anyone.
