My trip to Romania with Exodus involved only a three-hour flight, but it introduced me to landscapes and cultures I thought had long disappeared, as well as one of the most thrilling animal encounters I’ve ever had: watching a dozen brown bears from a hide deep in the Carpathian mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed our Baltic tour and would recommend it to anyone interested in history, architecture, cultural and gastronomic experiences. Although we have travelled extensively in Europe over many years, the three Baltic countries were new destinations for us and they all offer interesting and different dimensions in terms of pre-WW2 history, and post-war and occupation history as well. Beautiful medieval cities and castles are wonderful to visit, but the countryside, seaside and riverside towns were also a pleasure to explore. We were fortunate to have the guidance of an exceptional tour guide in Margarita, who made sure we all enjoyed the experience together, balancing quiet solo moments with memorable group events which were plenty of fun as well. Similarly, the local tour guides we had were all knowledgeable and entertaining as well.

Firstly the tour surpassed all of our expectations. We have travelled extensively around the world and we can categorically state that Artur Lumani’s commentary and knowledge regarding both ancient and modern history of Albania (supported by our visits to archaeological and contemporary sites) was brilliant. His presentations were exceptional and he was committed to ensuring that we all had the best tour possible.
Being of Albanian heritage, speaking the language, and having travelled to Albania in 1982 during the communist era, we were able to share insights with this lovely professional guide.
We will definitely visit Albania again thanks to Exodus, Artur and Diu (our friendly safe driver who was not only kind but had the cleanest most comfortable mini -bus we have been in).
