Walking Holidays in the Americas

With its sheer diversity of natural wonders, fascinating relics, sprawling white coastlines and forest trails, the Americas is an incredible destination to explore on foot. Stretching all the way from the Canadian Rockies to shimmering glaciers in Argentina, our walking holidays in the Americas are bound to impress.

In South America, you’re spoilt for choice. Whether you’re looking to follow in the footsteps of ancient Incas past mysterious cloud forests along the Inca Trail & the Amazon Rainforest, test your stamina on challenging walks through Torres del Paine National Park on our Classic Patagonia Treks or wander past smouldering fumaroles and lava landscapes towards beaches filled with playful Sea lions in the Galapagos, our experts are ready and waiting to be your guide to the world.

And when it comes to exploring the wonders of North America, the jaw-dropping mountain scenery sets the stage for our incredible adventures. Choose to trek towards the hanging gardens in Zion National Park, bask in the beauty of the Delicate Arch in Arches National Park and complete sections of the Grand Canyon rim trails on our spectacular Natural Parks Walk that takes in some of the best landscapes in the USA. Or if you’re looking to head even further north, our Canadian Rockies Wilderness Walks takes you from the virgin forests deep in the Canadian Rockies towards Lake Louise and Jasper National Park, where you may be able to spot Black bears and Rocky Mountain Bighorn sheep en route.

This trip had a great mix of trekking and learning about Peruvian culture and Inca history. The views were incredible and there are so many Inca sites along the way. The food was an absolute standout!

Zahrah Price The Salkantay Trek

This trip provides a fantastic combination of challenging remote trekking on the Salkantay section and over the Inca Chiriasca pass, the traditional Inca Trail with amazing site of Machu Picchu from the Sun Gate, plus many fascinating Inca sites which were brought to life by our exceptional and knowledgeable leader, Edwind. The food on the trek was superb – big shout out to our amazing chefs – plus meals out in Cusco were a revelation, with beautifully presented, tasty options.

Catherine Marsters The Salkantay Trek

I really enjoyed this trip despite suffering from some serious altitude sickness. We had excellent guides and although I’m not known to be the best camper, the team made it as comfortable as it possibly could be and the first views of Machu Picchu from the sun gate made it all worth it!
