Just go!
A week in Jordan is an amazing insight into this wonderful country! Every place is different and is amazing in it’s own right! Please don’t hesitate to come to Jordan if you are contemplating it, it is extremely safe and I’ve never met friendlier people.
Most Inspirational Moment
I have to say the most inspirational moment was definately seeing the treasury in Petra for the first time, it just takes your breath away! However the whole trip was inspiring and I wouldn't have missed a single bit!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Khaled our group leader was a very knowledgeable man with a huge passion for his country! It was so sad to see the sadness in his eyes when he spoke about how their economy is dying being people think it is unsafe to visit with the trouble in the surrounding countries.
Advice for Potential Travellers
I took a sleeping bag for when we camped in Wadi Rum and I was glad I did because with it being February it did get a bit chilly at night and the blanket provided wouldn't have been sufficient.
My only other advice is "JUST GO!"

Cycling Through Rajasthan
Enjoyed it a lot – amazing forts and palaces and mostly good cycling (we had one day on really bad roads I could have done without).
Only criticism was lack of free time on our own. As we were a small group (6) it was hard not to join in all the time. On the Kerala trip we had whole days free in Cochin and Varkala but there was nothing similar on this trip.
I did get tired of the food – chili with everything.

???
Knowing I could still be out at the front at 69!
I loved Udaipur and the hotel there.
Feeling the vastness of the cities - especially Jaipur from above at sunset.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Very competent and caring.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Take your own saddle - women especially.

Discover Costa Rica
The experience was everything I had hoped and more, the wildlife was amazing especially the birds and the brochure promise was fulfilled in ever way. The dry forest, rain forest and cloud forest will will be relived every time I look at my photos. I will certainly recommend this experience to my friends.
Most Inspirational Moment
Costa Rica is certainly a lush land with so many wonderful experiences. I was pleased to witness the enthusiasm of our courier and local guides for their beautifull country and their inheritance of fauna and flora, it was infectious.
Thoughts on Group Leader

Outstanding!
This is an amazing trip – I could not say what the best part of it was because every bit was just fabulous. Starting with the perfect winter scenery, the super cosy, warm and comfy base camp, the wonderful staff, outstanding food which introduced us to a number of delicious local dishes (including catering for all sorts of dietary requirements) and last, but not least the great activities. It is a perfect holiday to get away from the buzz and hectic of our lives, and to focus on your surroundings, nature and sports. For me this was a holiday of many firsts: first time snowshoeing, first time ice mountain climbing, first time to ride a huskie sleigh – and of course (how lucky were we!) the first time to see the Northern Lights! Magical!
Most Inspirational Moment
I couldn't pin point it to one moment or one activity. The summary of all made the trip perfect. Of course, being lucky and seeing the Northern Lights was the icing on the cake, although I believe that it would not have reduced the impression of the trip if we hadn't had that experience.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Marti is very nice, gentle, knowledgeable. He always focused on giving us the best possible experience, checked in on us when we booked and returned from extra tours.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Listen to the trip notes! No need to bring any outer layers of clothing other than for the evening. The clothing provided is perfect. I did bring some extra fleeces and wore those, and not the provided gear.

Great biking on the Atlas Descent
The Atlas descent is all ‘ups’. Up the heart rate, up the adrenaline and up the enjoyment. A technical mountain bike trip with rocky ascents and descents, some fast switch back trails and lots of interesting undulations. Exodus have not wimped out by reducing the the risk factors, this is proper mountain biking.
Most Inspirational Moment
Highlights for were the fast long descents through valleys and gorges, having to stay totally focused as well as managing some of the rockier ascents. I was totally in awe of those who completed the 10k climb on day 2 with a strong headwind (I opted for the support vehicle).
Thoughts on Group Leader
Having been on many group trips around the world, I have to say that Rad was the best tour leader I have ever experienced. He was so cheerful and skilful - he made the job look easy, which I know it isn't.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Get some mileage in before the trip and practice those technical skills on rocky ground! I also took a gel seat cover (along with the padded shorts) made a huge difference on the last couple of days.

Most Inspirational Moment
Seeing a Resplendent Quetzel in the grounds of our last lodge.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Excellent. Very knowledgeable on birds, animals and plantlife and always enthusiastic.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Don't forget a brolly - even in the dry season. And be prepared for chilly mornings when at higher altitudes.

Highlands of Sri Lanka
Once again I had a fantastic time on a trip with Exodus, this time to Sri Lanka. The guide was excellent, very informative and friendly, in fact he couldn’t do enough for us. The driver, co driver and luggage driver were also happy to help with anything we asked of them. The country is beautiful and full of amazing things to see, the people were extremely friendly and the local guides were very helpful. I would recommend this trip to anybody.
All the hotels we stayed in were lovely, the staff were friendly and the food was great.
Most Inspirational Moment
There were to many to choose from really. The Buddhist temples were beautiful and very peaceful, the jungle walk and mountain climbing was lovely and it was great to be able to go whale watching and we were lucky to see two blue whales and a white one.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Our guide was excellent, he had a big group to look after (16) but he did it with ease. He was very proud of his country, very informative and very friendly and good fun. He couldn't do enough for us. I would recommend him as guide of the year.
Advice for Potential Travellers
I think this has been mentioned by others but the trip notes suggest walking sandals but I would strongly suggest walking shoes or boots because of the terrain and the leeches in the jungle. Please do not be put off by the mention of leeches, they do not do any harm and the local guides carry a solution to get rid of them immediately.

Wonderful Trip
A great holiday, very busy, lots of activities and varied landscapes. Wildlife and birds in abundance, plus we felt we experienced more of the people and their lives than the usual package tour.
Not for the faint hearted, some early starts and full days but well worth it.
Hotels were better than expected with some lovely swimming pools.
The hotel food became rather repetitive as hotels have the ubiquitous buffet.
Our guide and his team were outstanding and looked after us in every way.
Highly recommend but avoid Chinese New Year!
Most Inspirational Moment
Seeing herds of Asian elephants up close on safari.
Seeing the blue whale at Mirissa, but spoiled by the Chinese on the boat.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Excellent.
Nothing too much trouble, plus a sense of humour
Advice for Potential Travellers
It's full on. Be prepared for early get ups and take powerful DEET. The mossies and insects are venal, especially on the river trip.
