Perfect for those who love the sea & all it's creatures!

Its not often that I ever write a review for anything. Felt compelled to do so for this holiday! We were the 1st group to do this trip…..

This holiday was excellent on every level! Perfect combination of the sea, snorkelling 2-3 times every day in the azure sea, truly unbelievable that I managed to snorkel alongside a giant whale shark (about 6 metres long & 15 tons) within touching distance for about 15minutes!

Most Inspirational Moment

Snorkelling alongside a whale shark! Unforgettable & very precious memory which I will never forget! Food was outstanding! (and I say this as a discerning foodie), it defies belief how the chef managed to produce 3 meals a day in a small galley/kitchen!

Thoughts on Group Leader

Kamey, was superb, a genuinely nice/fun, truly sincere guy and keen to help us wherever possible. The captain (Shafi) also looked after us when snorkelling, always keen to point out anything of interest, hung on to our hand if ever we needed a bit of help speeding up to catch up with any sea creatures. I felt in very safe hands!

Advice for Potential Travellers

1. Can't flush paper down the loo, so based on a previous bot trip, I brought some nappy bags with me (although cabin bins emptied every day). 2. Got a bit cold I the cabin at night with the A/C and fan on, so a very lightweight blanket might be useful as you only get a sheet to cover you. 3. A rash vest may be useful to reduce the risk of sun burn when snorkelling! The sun is very strong, I'm dark skinned but needed factor 30 reapplied several times.

Absolutely Fabulous

Amazing trip with wonderful people in an exciting country and the best support team ever. Everything was well organised and we had complete confidence in all the Exodus team. They were brilliant.

Most Inspirational Moment

When ALL the group who started out on Hai Van Pass reached the top.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Lam did an amazing job. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He attended to our every need with absolute professionalism and good humour. He was very supportive and really fun to be around. His local knowledge was excellent.

Advice for Potential Travellers

It can get quite hot so be prepared.......but it is well worth it.

Highlights of Morrocco

A classic blend of Morroccan culture, sights and activity. We felt we had a real insight into Morrocco and saw the major cultural sights and experienced the desert, mountains, coast and life in the heart of the medinas

Most Inspirational Moment

Our time in the High Atlas Mountains spending time meeting local people and absorbing the beauty of the valley. The medina in Fez was memorable- amazing buzz as you wind around the miles of narrow 'lanes' never knowing what is around the next corner. The tanneries are now renovated and even without being back in full use were an absorbing sight.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Khalid was a great group leader. He organised the day to day practicalities with minimum fuss and kept us well informed. We all looked forward to hearing his hilarious stories of his Berber childhood and he gave us a real sense of Morroccan culture, history and environment without sounding like he was working through a script- he was good fun and approachable.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Don't sleep on top of the sand dunes if it is windy- don't ask! It was a little chilly in April for our first 2 days so do take a fleece and clothes that you can layer and unlayer Do have a hammam ( traditional bath house) when you stay in the mountain village- go in a group if you can, forget inhibitions and have an hilarious experience

Everest Base Camp 2016

It’s two weeks since we got back and already have the adventure blues! And what an adventure it was! To be so close to the top of the world!! To say I was excited was an understatement and even counted the “sleeps” to Base Camp. You run out of adjectives to describe the beauty of the Himalayas, the sky, snow, blue glaciers, clouds, the air, I was in love with it all….and so miss it.

Most Inspirational Moment

The very first sight of the Himalayas. The weather at first was cloudy, wet and snowy. We arrived at the tea house wet and cold but welcomed with tea & warmth. Our guide suddenly shouted us out to see the cloud lift and the mountains were there, all around with a beautiful sunset! Inspiring!

Thoughts on Group Leader

Our lead guide was called Lakpa. He was a font of local knowledge. He inspired and enthused our interest us with his knowledge and passion for the area. Our other guides too, Cammie, Nema 1 & Nema 2 were also brilliant. They all had a great sense of humour as well as trusting them impeccably. Not to forget the young man who managed the yaks. I must say I was impressed with their care of the animals.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Toilet roll & baby wipes!

everest base camp trek march 25th

Second time at Everest and it lived up to all my expectations First time to Nepal with Exodus ,well organised from start to finish

Most Inspirational Moment

climbing up to top of Kala Patar and looking down onto base camp

Thoughts on Group Leader

Our group leader was excellent and so too were all the the other sherpas without them the trip would not have been the same ,always there to help ,nothing too much trouble, felt in very safe hands at all times.Thank you.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Don't over pack, you really do need minimal clothes.Take hand cream, and cough lozenges,as luxury items.

Cuban Highlights Ride

This was a really enjoyable trip. As well as enjoying a good variety of cycling, we learned a lot about the life and politics of the country and had the chance to explore some amazing historic towns.

Most Inspirational Moment

I really enjoyed cycling through the country villages and seeing the pace of rural life. I preferred the habited areas to the coast as there was more variety of landscape. However, I also really enjoyed riding around Havana in an open-topped sixty year old Pontiac.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Alex was a very conscientious and thoughtful leader with a good sense of humour and a good manner with the group. He made every effort to ensure that we made the most of our holiday. He was also very informative about the history and politics and gave us a much greater understanding of the social issues in the country.

Advice for Potential Travellers

The holiday was graded leisurely/moderate, which I thought could be slightly misleading. I went on the Indo-China and Angkor Wat ride last year which was graded moderate. However, although the mileage in the Cuban trip was significantly less, I thought the cycling itself was harder with more hills and a regular headwind. If I had done the Cuban trip first, I might have been worried about the Indo-China trip being too hard for me. It is always difficult to judge these issues though, and sometimes it depends on the fitness and pace of the overall group.

Walking the Amalfi Coast

A fantastic week of walking and taking in the beautiful views of the Amalfi Coast. Great for solo travellers – everyone in the group very friendly and easy to get on with.
The hotel staff were brilliant, the food demos good fun and the cocktails were great!

Most Inspirational Moment

Too many moments to think of one - great sense of achievement on many of the walks especially getting to the top of Vesuvius.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Our group leader Paul was fantastic, very knowledgeable, helpful and good fun. He was shadowed by Martin that week who is also a lovely guy.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Wear good walking shoes.

A simply stunning Italian Adventure

An amazing 7 days spent, seeing the sights of Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, Capri, Nature Reserves, Mount Vesuvius and more.
A beautiful way to explore what south west Italy has to offer.

Most Inspirational Moment

The satisfaction of spending a whole day discovering such beautiful rural & coastal sights, then back to re-group in the evening for wonderful meals & wine.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Paul & Martin were absolutely amazing. Such fun to be around 2 guides with such knowledge and enthusiasm. Their passion for Italy and the outdoors certainly rubbed off!

Advice for Potential Travellers

If travelling in March/April, pack for all weather conditions. It can be cooler up in the mountains, but a hot summers day on the coast. There isn't much 'down time' on the trip, it's action packed and full of fun.

A welcome sunshine break

This holiday was a fabulous introduction to the Amalfi region with a good balance of activities and free time. The local hotel was a charming and welcoming base.

Most Inspirational Moment

I particularly enjoyed the walk from Amalfi to Ravello

Thoughts on Group Leader

Excellent

Advice for Potential Travellers

Enjoy!

Cuban Highlights Ride

A very well organised trip with a great leader who kept us motivated and entertained. Cuba is changing fast so great to see it firsthand. Cycling conditions were pretty good although it got hot afternoon when the combination of the heat and the hills meant the going got tough from time to time.

Most Inspirational Moment

The feeling on achievement after a good ride and seeing Cuba close up. Cycling means you can see details close up.

Thoughts on Group Leader

A great leader who kept us motivated and entertained.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Take lots of suncream ! Some basic cycling gear makes all the difference (good gloves, cycling tops and padded shorts or a gel saddle).
