Incredible
You take a big gamble on both weather and wildlife viewings on this trip but we were incredibly lucky with both. The scenery and polar bear sightings were out of this world. If you are willing to take a risk on both of these factors then this trip is an absolute must.
Most Inspirational Moment
Too many moments to nail just one down
Thoughts on Group Leader
There were many guides and staff on the boat, all of whom were absolutely outstanding.
Advice for Potential Travellers
You really are at the mercy of the weather so you need to be prepared for some rough days and the conditions change rapidly. Layers are the way forward!

Truly amazing
A fantastic country, with open and welcoming people who are delighted to see European tourists, incredible sights and inspiring interiors
Most Inspirational Moment
The interior of the Amur Timur mausoleum, a true wow moment…or arriving in Khiva to feel we were really on the Silk Road…no, the Registan or, or… in other words, the whole holiday

Takhir handled the usual “mixed” personalities with diplomacy and care. His telling of the stories behind the sites demonstrated his passion for history

A Belter of a Trip!
First, a couple of days in Porto before the trip – what a fantastic city! Great energy, diverse people and buildings, fascinating and quirky places – and brilliant music, food, shops and markets!
The riding was gentle, with so many changing views of the Atlantic, sandy beaches, rolling fields, cliffs, woodlands and grassy swamps. Someone once likened cycling as being like a meditation – I definitely was there!
And cycling with such a bunch of lovely people was a joy – despite our varied backgrounds from so many different locations, there was a commonality in our outlook and spirit and humour – we made some great friendships and had such fun!
But it all worked so well due to three amazing group leaders – Armando, Ines and Marianna. Due to them, everything was so well organised – daily briefings, food snacks in beautiful locations, full scale lunches with amazing salads, lots of chats, gentle banter and laughter!
Lisbon was beautiful, we should have had longer – but then we have another excuse to revisit this wonderful country!
All in all, it was a Belter of a Trip!
Most Inspirational Moment
After a morning of cycling, we all sat by the lake (Lagoa da Ervedeira), eating our snack (prepared by the team) - watching the gentle waters of this beautiful inland lake, listening to the birds, absorbing the scene - such a huge sky!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Armando was a lovely guy. He was very well organised, an amazingly good communicator, incredibly knowledgeable and great fun. But he led a team which was also very impressive. They each had their jobs and responsibilities and they really did work as a team. But one of the most impressive things is that they all were so passionate about their country and about the importance of sustainability and of supporting their different communities - such lovely young and energetic people!
Advice for Potential Travellers
I had an ebike - which was great. But don't forget to take your silicon seat cover!

Lots to see
An interesting and varied look around the Baltic countries.
Most Inspirational Moment
I had several inspiring moments including seeing the art nouveau buildings in Riga, climbing the tower of the medieval castle in Cesis with a candle lit lantern and visiting the stunning Rundale Palace, which was beautiful and a must-see.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Our group leader, Migle, was great. She was knowledgeable, with a great sense of humour and made herself available to all of us. Some of us wanted to visit a traditional folk festival that was taking place in Vilnius and she took us there so we wouldn't get lost, which was a great help.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Wear comfortable and sensible shoes for walking on cobblestones and pavements in the towns! Also, bring insect repellent as we came across mosquitos in several places.

Walking in North Cyprus 12th May 2024
Trip notes “Walking through areas teeming with wildflowers and wildlife” . I saw very few wildflowers and hardly any wildlife. “Leisurely/Moderate”. I suppose I took leisurely to mean easy rather than slow because of the rough terrain.
Most Inspirational Moment
Optional excursion to Famagusta. Should be included

Excellent
Advice for Potential Travellers
The weather was exceptionally hot. If you want to see wildflowers go earlier in the spring.

Gorgeous country with amazing sights!
Scenery is utterly amazing, especially if you haven’t been to New Zealand. Comfortable bus with individual USB ports at every seat. Lots of stops (generally every 45 mins or so). Back roads can be bumpy. Food is VERY expensive so be prepared. It’s cold – even in summer months – so bring scarf, hat, gloves.
Most Inspirational Moment
Glacier lake - amazing!

Jon was a great guide - very knowledgeable, friendly, flexible and extremely helpful. He went above and beyond to help each traveler. Took great care of us.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Food and alcohol is EXTREMELY expensive in Iceland (like $25 US for a bowl of soup at lunch!) so you might need to get creative, especially in the more remote locations. We bought crackers, spreadable cheese and fruit at Bonus supermarkets (the least expensive) and had Happy Hour in our room. Also, if you're a couple, you probably won't get a double bed. We had to push single beds together in most hotels. Apparently, Exodus' system doesn't differentiate couples from two singles so try to address this with Exodus by phone in advance (if you can get a live person). Few elevators so be prepared to carry your suitcase up or down stairs (pack as light as possible). Some excursions are more strenuous than indicated by the Activity Level Rating for this trip (2) - steep climbs in a couple of places.

Amazing trip
This trip is filled with history about South and North Korea, great accommodation included throughout, and the best part was the tour guide. She knows so much and makes this trip what it is, brilliant.
Most Inspirational Moment
The DMZ tour was eye opening.
Thoughts on Group Leader
She is a great assest to this tour. Loads of knowledge.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Pack comfortable shoes as there is a fair bit of walking done. The DMZ tour can get a bit claustrophobic going down in the tunnel.
