Cycling In Greece
This was our first trip with Exodus Travels and to Greece. This was an excellent way to really see the countryside of Greece. We went to many local places that your average tour bus trips would not go. We had a larger group of 16 people so we were fortunate to have two fantastic guides (Niovi and Demitrius) as well as a wonderful driver. (Also named Demetrius) This trip is highly recommended if you want to see more of the local culture of Greece. My only suggestion is to definitely upgrade the quality of bikes used on this trip. On our last day of the trip my husband had a small medical emergency. Niovi helped us handle this situation with complete professionalism and ease. She helped us locate a private doctor in Athens (on a Saturday!) stayed with us, and helped with translation with the doctor. We both will be forever grateful for her assistance!
Most Inspirational Moment
We loved visiting the ancient Theater of Epidarus as well as being able to visit a local organic vineyard and see the production in action, as well as sample some fantastic wine! Also, just some of the breathtaking views of the ocean from our hotel room.
Thoughts on Group Leader
As I have mentioned above I cannot say enough good things about our lead guide, Niovi. She went beyond her job duties to help us in a stressful time of need. She was very personable and tried to met all the needs of our group members which is a difficult task with 16 people!
Advice for Potential Travellers
Please make sure you read the travel description of this trip and that you are physically able to ride a bike at least 25-35 miles comfortably and can climb hills. This trip is described as a moderate difficulty level and if you are not as fit as you should be then request an ebike so you can fully participate.

Totally Tuscany ...
One week of great walks , great hospitality and great food .. superb leader in Mark and combined with the warmth of the late summer sun we couldn’t ask for a better way to spend a holiday than to walk the vineyards and taste the grape 🍇
Most Inspirational Moment
After a wonderful walk through working vineyards we spent an afternoon in the company of new friends in a small wine merchants shop , just us , eating Tuscan bread and cold meats drizzled with truffle oil and tasting truly glorious Turscan Chianti’s ... blissful
Thoughts on Group Leader
Mark was a really excellent guide - just as we have come to expect with Exodus . His attention to detail and his generous spirit of care with regard to differing walking paces made him a great guide - his knowledge of the area and his quiet manner working behind the scenes to make everything run like clockwork is a credit to the Company
Advice for Potential Travellers
Take insect repellent - the mosquitos are vicious and will find you !!!

Varied and Interesting Trip
A busy and varied trip covering five countries, encompassing a wealth of culture and history, and some amazing scenery.
Most Inspirational Moment
Riding a horse above Lake Song Kul. Beautiful blue and gold ceiling in the Registan in Samarkand. Many encounters with friendly and welcoming local people, especially when we had homestays in the villages.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Suzie Grant is one of the best leaders I have come across. The trip would not have been half as good without her. Very well organized, very attentive to the wishes of all her clients, and a lovely personality.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Be prepared for a busy schedule: you are moving on almost every day, and there are long hours of driving. Bring clothes for all climates: temperatures ranged from 40 Centigrade in Ashgabat to near freezing at night in the highlands. Learn some Russian if you can: it is the lingua franca in all the countries, restaurant menus are usually in Russian, and all our drivers were Russian. Be aware that there is often no internet.

Stunning coastline and some beautiful old towns to wander round .Two lovely walks of about five or six miles along stoney paths but with options if you’re not feeling to energetic.
Most Inspirational Moment
Loved the buildings in Dubrovnik being a craftsman I really enjoyed some of the stone work
Thoughts on Group Leader
The group leader Sanja was fantastic ,very good at her job and always smiling .i would also like to single out the tour guide we had in Dubrovnik, Antia was excellent she was very informative but also entertaining and funny ,the two hour walk round flew by .
Advice for Potential Travellers
The food in Croatia is great but if you are vegetarian and don't eat fish you will struggle also the trip notes state there is filter water supplied ,this is not the case but we were assured the tap water was safe to drink so we all did with no ill effects .There are no kettles in hotel rooms in Croatia so if you want tea in bed bring a kettle and bring a good insect repellent for Korcula they really liked the taste of me.

Exceeded my expectations; and they were pretty high!
This was my third cycling holiday with Exodus and I can’t wait to book the next one. Once again, I chose somewhere where I had no previous knowledge, thus making it a bit of an ‘Adventure.
Inevitably slightly apprehensive about how well I would fit in to a group of sixteen people that I had never met before. My worries were needless; we all got on famously and just got on with enjoying the well organised trip. Great hotels, food and wine. Distances not too challenging, although the heat was at times.
All breaks, rest stops and overnights were entirely adequate. Important to bear in mind that this is first and foremost a cycling holiday. There were many occasions when, as a keen photographer, I would like to have stopped but that wouldnt have been fair on the ‘Back Marker’.
Most Inspirational Moment
Each day had its magic moments but the selection of fascinating hotels could never be described as ordinary. Breakfast overlooking a ravine in Matera, rooms in a former Palace and a night in a former farmhouse (Masseria) surrounded by olive trees and vines.
So many great memories...
Thoughts on Group Leader
Emanuel was excellent. He kenew his bikes and how to treat a group of intrepid explorers, Top man!
Advice for Potential Travellers
Be prepared for heat: it was up to 30C even in mid September. However, there was always plenty of fresh cold water in the backup vehicle with Piero.

Great tour but disappointing hotels
I thought the tour was great and enjoyed where we visited and the activities included.
I was disappointed with the hotels. Only the hotel in Ostuni was 4 star; and the rest 3 star.
This tour cost a lot more than Riviera, Just You or Travelsphere and only Had 2 meals included.
I was expecting it to be a cut above the rest for the price paid.
The tour was good and the tour manager excellent. Shame it was let down by the choice of accommodation. I also found the places we stayed in to be much too touristy.
Most Inspirational Moment
When I went on my own to Polignano a Mare for the night.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Fantastic!
Advice for Potential Travellers
If you are fussy about where you stay then don’t book this tour.
