Trekking the Camino de Santiago

The Camino de Santiago tour was one of the best I have been on. Our tour guide, Mario, was excellent and it was a nice group of people who all got along. The Camino itself is a great walk and it helped that the weather was nice.

Most Inspirational Moment

The obvious highlight was completing the 130k trek at Santiago cathedral. Admit that i was more emotional about it than I expected, having walked in the footsteps of many pilgrims who have made the journey over hundreds of years. Beyond that just enjoyed interacting with the group as we walked through the countryside and relaxed at the various tavernas.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Mario was excellent. Knew his stuff and was very attentive. Helped the group to bond quickly and was a major reason for the success of the trip.

Cycling in Sicily

Our guide Michele was great. He knew and shared so much with us. All the details were taken care of with grace. Very nice to be active during travel

Most Inspirational Moment

Sicily was beautiful, the attitude of the group was friendly and helpful. The visits to smaller towns were lovely.

He was fabulous. He worked hard but did with grace and a sense of ease that made us all feel safe and comfortable and have a good time

Beautiful - mountains, sea and beaches

Beautiful location for a walking holiday, with mountain views, historic sites and quiet beaches. Even time to swim in the sea on several occasionals!

Our guide was amazing, George looked after the group perfectly, sharing local knowledge and helping those that wanted to join in the Easter celebrations.

The hotel and town were the perfect base, great places to eat with a friendly atmosphere.

Would definately recommend this trip!

Ancient Egypt & Mövenpick Nile Cruise

The trip was well planned and executed, the accommodation was excellent all transfers went smoothly and our guide was very good, looking after us very well.

Most Inspirational Moment

Each day was special, difficult to pinpoint one highlight - the visit to GEM was great, the pyramids and Saqqera. We loved the temples in Karnak and Luxor and all the temples we visited along the Nile.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Rani was excellent looking after and interacting with all of us. She brought the various sites to life and answered all of our questions with a great depth of knowledge.

Borneo Wildlife Discoverer

Exodus always pack in as many experiences as possible into their trips. Staff are always very friendly and helpful.

Most Inspirational Moment

There were highlights on all the days we saw wildlife. I particularly loved seeing the monkeys and apes, the colourful birds and the flying squirrel.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Both Leaders were superb. Rony in particular was incredibly enthusiastic, knowledgeable and helpful. The local guides were also brilliant. Christopher in Mulu and the amazing Rafael in Tabin.

Budapest to Istanbul Adventure

Four countries, three capital cities, and centuries of tribes and empires making their mark on eastern Europe, what a trip! I think some of the pacing on this new trip needs some reconsideration, but it was a great experience.

All my trips with Exodus have been excellent and I hope there will be many more to come. For like-minded people who want to travel rather than go on holiday, Exodus group tours offer so much.

Most Inspirational Moment

Visiting 4 countries (plus driving very close to two more: the Ukraine and Greek borders) and learning about the troubled histories of tribes and empires and religions conquering Eastern Europe over so many centuries and leaving their mark. The variety of places - rural and urban, and of food was excellent.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Barni was excellent: warm, kind and approachable at all times. Each day he was dressed fully in a traditional Hungarian style, and with his twirling moustache and hat, he was a delight to see. He shared fascinating stories of his upbringing in a Hungarian village in Romania. His organisation of the itinerary, transport, restaurants, tour guides, toilet breaks, currency issues and tip kitty were all superb. He ensured we had all necessary information on a "just in time" basis rather than overloading us in advance. He facilitated the option to attend classical music concerts in Budapest and Bucharest, which was great.

Highlights of the Amalfi Coast

Our tour guide Veriano was amazing! He was so knowledgeable about the Amalfi Coast and provided historical background, best highlights in each town, as well as hidden gems, quiet back streets to avoid the huge crowds, must see sites and took great photos for us. He was so kind, calm, patient and had a wonderful sense of humor. The hotel was good, and very clean and the meals were great, the staff was very attentive and the drivers were all amazing on those many winding mountain roads.

Most Inspirational Moment

Seeing all the places on the itinerary, meeting all the wonderful people on my tour, staying in a good hotel, having good drivers and a great tour guide Veriano.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Veriano was excellent. He shared lots of knowledge re the various towns, showed us the highlights, told/showed us about hidden gems, was very kind, patient, calm, humorous and made the trip so fun!

Highlights of Portugal

Good agenda, small group works well and Carla Costa a fabulous tour guide for Portugal. This was my third tour with Exodus and it served me well. Fun having Canadians, Americans and mostly Brits works well for language.

The highlights to me were the towns/cities we visited partnered with our Guide Carla filling us in on the history of that locale.

Budapest to Istanbul Adventure

Transfer and tour very well organised. A variety of interesting stops which should appeal to young and old.

Most Inspirational Moment

To see Budapest for the first time and a repeat visit to Plovdiv. Transylvania was wonderful.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Barni was extremely helpful in every respect. He went over and above the normal guiding duties. His English was excellent and he made the tour fun for everyone.

Discover Namibia - Camping

Everything ran smoothly on our tour and the food provided was excellent. The tour guide, Shane, and did a fantastic job to ensure our trip was successful, making sure we were comfortable, keeping us fully informed on where we were going, the times we needed to be at places and generally making sure we were enjoying the trip. He did a fantastic job telling us about Namibia, and showing us the wonderful sights, from the wildlife to the unique Namibian landscape. He was very knowledgeable about his country and he was interesting to talk to. Ruben, the cook, worked really hard catering for everyone and our various dietary requirements. He was an excellent camp cook. In fact we preferred eating camp food than at restaurants as the quality of Ruben’s food was so much better. On the tour we saw so much, but the optional extras did provide further insight into Namibia, its history and wildlife. Highlights were the day safari in Etosha national park and the flight across the Skeleton Coast.

Most Inspirational Moment

Seeing the animals, small and large, in Etosha national park and its breath-taking landscape. The skies. At sun-rise and sun-set the colours were stunning. Star-gazing at night was phenomenal with great views of the Milky Way. Flight along the Skeleton coast. The location and tranquility of the campsites meant we got to experience some of the wildlife at very close quarters. The camaraderie between everyone in the group.

The tour guide, Shane, and did a fantastic job to ensure our trip was successful, making sure we were comfortable, keeping us fully informed on where we were going, the times we needed to be at places and generally making sure we were enjoying the trip.
