Corsica - Corte and St Florent

This is a new trip and we were a very small group which felt rather privileged. The choice of centres Corte and St Florent gives a taste of walking in mountainous country and on the coast – quite a contrast but both are fascinating and historic areas.

Most Inspirational Moment

The valley of Restonica is absolutely beautiful and I think this was my favourite walk with a chance to see fascinating rock formations and lovely wild flowers and other plants in the maquis. The day free to explore Bastia was also a great experience.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Paulin was a delightful leader - with a positive and smiling personality. His knowledge of flora, fauna and history was outstanding and his love of Corsica was very evident. He also had a great sense of humour - always essential in a guide.

Advice for Potential Travellers

This is a fabulous trip - it's great to have the contrasts between mountain and sea locations. But make sure you pack for every type of weather - it can be changeable!

Loire Valley: Walks, Wine & Chateaux

The Loire Valley itinerary was the perfect mix of walking and hiking, visiting the lovely chateau and local wineries, and enjoying wonderful food and wine at charming local restaurants. The Vouvray “Brotherhood” ceremony was a unique experience and a fun, unexpected surprise.

Most Inspirational Moment

Visiting the various chateau, great local food and wine!

Thoughts on Group Leader

Yannis was very knowledgeable, organized and clearly communicated each day’s itinerary and schedule to the group, so we always knew what to expect.

Walking The Amalfi Coast

Great communication from start to finish, fabulous guide with great local knowledge and fantastic rapport with everyone we met, very reasonable price for everything that was included in the trip.

Most Inspirational Moment

Visiting places that you would only know of if you were local to the area. Fantastic scenery that you would only see if you're walking...i.e. It can't be seen from the road. Having the benefit of our fantastic guide, Roberta. She was so knowledgeable and passionate about every place we went, had a fantastic rapport with everyone we met...from other guides and cattleowners on the trails to the local retailers in the cafes and restaurants we visited.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Roberta was so knowledgeable and passionate about every place we went, she had a fantastic rapport with everyone we met...from other guides and cattleowners on the trails to the local retailers in the cafes and restaurants we visited. She was great fun and treated everyone with respect. She was absolutely fantastic and I couldn't speak more highly of her.

Mont Blanc- 23rd may 2026

An absolutely amazing experience! The tour was incredibly well-organized from start to finish. We stayed at a beautiful chalet with breathtaking, insane views of Mont Blanc.
Our guide, Adrian, was fantastic. He was always there to help with any question or situation, and his explanations of the routes we hiked were super clear and helpful. He was always available, incredibly patient, and brought such a fun energy to the group with his great sense of humor.
Also thanks to Julieta and Odran, the two chalet hosts. They took amazing care of us, cooked delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and were incredibly nice and welcoming throughout the whole trip. As a small note regarding dinner, the meals were plated individually as a starter, main, and dessert. While it was lovely, I would have personally preferred a style where food is placed on the table so everyone can choose their own portions. To sum up, it was an amazing adventure.

Perfect

The accommodation was fantastic: beautiful, friendly and peaceful. The food was amazing, and the walks were spectacular. It was a brilliant week. I can’t recommend it enough.

Most Inspirational Moment

Reaching the Tambura Pass on the way to the summit. The mountain range sprawls out in front, leading to the port and coast. So beautiful.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Fantastic, knowledgeable and friendly. Having them drive the van was really helpful as it gave them the flexibility to adapt to the weather and the group's pace without rushing anyone. They made an effort to include all members of the group including the quieter members (me) which was greatly appreciated.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Don't do the Level 5 if you have a fear of heights as there are exposed sections high up and very narrow paths in places. Pack everything including waterproofs and gloves (even if it's meant to be warm the whole week).

The Best!

This was my 12th Exodus cycling trip and this was one of the most fantastic!
The countryside and mountains are among the most beautiful in Europe.
Our group leader was outstanding, taking care of our many different needs and organising some of the best meals we’ve had.
Brilliant cycling on amazing roads, guided by the best leader, Armando

Most Inspirational Moment

Many - stunning scenery, mountain springs, bird songs, wild flowers, donkeys, goats, sheep and horses Great fun with a lovely bunch of cyclists.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Armando was the best leader I've experienced. Enthusiastic, efficient, knowledgeable and organised, not a minute was wasted. He organised all the meals, phoning ahead, of our arrival, so we never had to wait. There were always spare charged batteries for those with E bikes. He took great care in getting to know us all and to respond to our varying needs.

Go!

Hike Spain's Sierra de Aitana

Exodus made booking and transfers easy. Our guide, Jose, was so knowledgeable and even had recommendations for activities after our tour ended. The hotel was great! Raquel was so accommodating and an excellent cook! The sandwiches for lunch were amazing!!! Our guide did great adjusting the itinerary to account for weather. We got to see so much of the local area!!!

Most Inspirational Moment

The small group size was great! Our guide was able to connect with everyone.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Jose was the best! His sandwiches were next level. He motivated us even in the heat and had great alternatives when the heat was too much for certain hikes.

Cycling in Sicily

Great way to see the Sicilian countryside and towns that we saw. Our guide Mattia did an excelllent job of meeting the needs of the diverse group

Most Inspirational Moment

stay at agriturismo, beach visits, some difficult but doable clibs on the bike.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Mattia did a very good job, meeting the diverse needs of group, keeping all safe and maintain bike with little support and in some ways expanded the trip in some ways. With suggestion of some guests started leading stretching session before the ride for a few days. Great way to bond group and get people ready for day. Exodus should consider this for all active trips. At request of a guest he also did a bike maintenence session to teach. Great for those who wanted it

This trip will stay with me

This was a good introduction to Central Asia that packed a lot of experiences and information into 16 days including the natural wonders of the magnificent Tien Shan mountains, valleys and gorges between, lakes, forests , deserts and parks , ancient preserved and rebuilt ruins filled with history, and the bustling cities each demonstrating their uniqueness, history, influences and progression.

Most Inspirational Moment

Too many could take that title.

Thoughts on Group Leader

We had 3 different guides: one for each of the 3 countries visited, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Each offered historic and cultural insights into their country and the specific areas we visited. All were very good. They were from Russian and Ukrainian families who emigrated to the countries they now guide, I am assuming it because they can speak a variety of languages. It would be interesting to also experience the countries from Kyrgyz, Kazakh, and Uzbek peoples as well.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Read : -"Sovietistan" by Erika Fatland either before or after your trip. - The Silk Road by Peter Frankopan -Lonely Plant "Central Asia" (free online editions at Archive.org) Download: Google Translate, a good tracking app, Merlin bird identification app and Seek plant id. Enjoy your trip.

Best Cycling trip ever

We had the best guide I’ve ever encountered. His name is Armand and he is the most ressourceful/knowledgeable guide I’ve ever seen. The driver Arsene was also super friendly and professionnal. It’s not for the faint of heart because there is a LOT of elevation but for anyone decently fit it is qui pleasurable. We had the most amazing views everywhere we went and everything was well planned out and smooth.

Most Inspirational Moment

Plunging in the Adriatic Sea!!

Thoughts on Group Leader

Armand is the best!!

Advice for Potential Travellers

Make sure you do a bit of training prior to the trip or just get and e-bike. The last day is monstrous lol
