Crescent Camp or similar Meals included: Breakfast Lunch Dinner Day 4 Transfer to the Masai Mara; afternoon game drive. This morning we journey south to the Masai Mara National Reserve. The drive takes approximately 6 hours but we have regular stops along the way. The Masai Mara is one of the most famous ecosystems in the world and with good reason. This huge expanse of grassland is home to an astonishing variety of wildlife such as elephant, buffalo, zebra, crocodile, ostrich, hyena, rhino, cheetah, leopard and lion. Between mid-August to late October one of the greatest spectacles on Earth takes place in the Masai Mara – the annual wildebeest migration. Over one million wildebeest are joined by zebra and gazelle as they move into the reserve seeking fresh grazing. Nothing is guaranteed on safari, but with the help of our brilliant guides you should see and learn a huge amount about the resident wildlife as we game drive through the park this afternoon. Mara Springs Camp or similar Meals included: Breakfast Lunch Dinner Day 5 Full day in the Masai Mara. Rising early this morning we embark on a full day game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve. During the course of the day we have a good chance of seeing a multitude of wildlife as we explore the Mara’s vast open plains. There is also the opportunity to do an optional hot air balloon safari in time for sunrise – this is an especially memorable experience during the wildebeest migration as it is only from this vantage point that you can truly appreciate the scale of this natural wonder. Mara Springs Camp or similar Meals included: Breakfast Lunch Dinner Day 6 Optional morning game drive; return to Nairobi. There is one last chance to go into the reserve for an optional morning game drive before we say goodbye to the Masai Mara and return to the bustling metropolis of Nairobi. This is another 6 hour drive but we should arrive at our hotel with plenty of time to relax, freshen-up and enjoy the hotel’s facilities. This evening we can enjoy our final dinner together at one of Nairobi’s restaurants. Panafric Hotel or similar Meals included: Breakfast Day 7 End Nairobi. Our trip ends this morning. Those on the group flights will be taken to airport for the flight to London. Meals included: Breakfast

Kenya There are no mandatory vaccination requirements. Recommended vaccinations are: Polio, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Typhoid, Hepatitis A. Malaria prophylaxis is essential and we suggest that you seek advice from your GP or travel health clinic about which malaria tablets to take. Dengue fever is a known risk in places visited. It is a tropical viral disease spread by daytime biting mosquitoes. There is currently no vaccine or prophylaxis available for Dengue, and therefore the best form of prevention is to avoid being bitten. We recommend you take the usual precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
Full-service Camping On these departures we spend 2 nights in hotels and 4 nights camping. The camping is full-service which means that the tents are put up and taken down for you by our crew. We use standard mobile two man tents for these nights and provide mattresses and all other equipment that you'll need (except a sleeping bag and pillow). East African campsites vary in terms of facilities and you should not expect hot showers. We have selected, whenever possible, properties in or near the national parks we visit to enrich the wilderness experience of this trip. Campsites typically have additional facilities such as a swimming pool, bar and sometimes WiFi. Single supplement is available.
