It’s More Extraordinary with Exodus Adventure Travels
This was managed and run by Headwater (Exodus’s sister company who runs the European cycling trips as data s I can tell. We were both really long forward to this trip, and for the most part it was brilliant. However, there were a couple of issues… (1) This trip really needs a good level of experience in mountain biking. All the rides had long downhill sections on sometimes very loose gravel. My wife actually fell off (fortunately with minimal injury) as did one of the other couples on the trip (more serious – no more cycling for her!). This should be highlighted. (2) For some reason Headwater were unable to book direct trains as advertised, and no pre-booked seats. On the return trip, we were forced to stand for around an hour in the non-air conditioned carriage doorways in 39 degree heat (the aisles were too busy to even get in the air con parts!). This really put a downer on the trip as it was our last part of the holiday! Headwater should have booked earlier to get direct trains – or at least have booked seats!Christopher Hewson A Taste of Tuscany Cycling
Hui Dai Mont Blanc HighlightsMy recent trekking adventure around Mont Blanc was nothing short of spectacular, a truly unforgettable journey through some of the most breathtaking landscapes on Earth. Every turn offered a new vista, from the majestic snow-capped peaks to the vibrant alpine meadows, all bathed in the crisp mountain air. The sheer scale and beauty of the scenery were truly humbling, making every step a joy.
Equally commendable were our wonderful group leader and hosts. Their warm hospitality and the delicious, hearty meals they provided after long days of trekking were a highlight. Each meal was a culinary delight, offering a true taste of local flavors and providing the perfect fuel for our adventures. This trip was a perfect blend of challenging trekking, stunning natural beauty, and genuine human connection. Highly recommended!
Ankita Yenage Walking the Island of MadeiraBest way to spend a week in Madeira. The trip was exceptional with 5 great hikes and extraordinary views at each turn. It was a full bloom season and and that made every hike interesting. Hiking through lush green mountains with the sea always in sight- it was just beautiful. The trials along the Levadas (ancient water channels) were very interesting. Dip in the natural pools at Porto Moniz or in the hotel after the hikes were worth it. Aqua Natura Bay was the best stay and had great meals at the hotel. Till the last hike, everything worked out perfectly.
This is a great itinerary to explore Madeira -its culture and natural beauty of the Island.
