Hi - I was looking at booking this trip but not sure of which dates to go on - I was thinking of 26 Sept departure as this is for solo travellers.

Hi, I am also a solo traveller but I don't tend to worry about if a trip is specifically for solo travellers or not as you get to know people anyway.

Hi, I might well book for October then since those departures are guaranteed. Have you been on a similar trek before? I have looked at the kit list andI'm not sure I'll be able to pack light enough!  ;-)

I have trekked up Mount Kilimanjaro in October 2009, Mount Toubkal in Morocco and Mount Sinai in Egypt.

Hi, it will be fine. I have been going solo on trips like this for years. It doesn't worry me as I know I will get to know people and I get on with everybody. The good thing about forums like this one is that you can get to know everyone before you go.

YEP agree I have  undertaken a few epic journeys in South America and Africa solo and had a great time. I  feel on trip/adventures like these you usually meet warm outgoing people.

Greetings from Minnesota, USA. I am booked on this trip - third trip with Exodus (second one - High Inca Trail - is coming right up in May). Have also travelled a couple of times with Explore. Most recent trips have been with US companies (Thompson Safaris out of Boston and Mountain Travel Sobek) but I find it is very enjoyable to join a more international group from time to time. This will be my third, and likely last, trip to Nepal - one previous trip was a land tour that went from Bhutan to Nepal to Tibet - and one was a trek to the Annapurna Sanctuary. In response to a previous thread, not sure I have ever been on a trip where I took too little - usually come home swearing I'll slim down for the next trip. Maybe this is the time I'll really be a minimalist.

Due to personal commitments, I have decided to postpone my trip to Nepal until next year. I hope everybody has a great time.

Hello ,

My name is James and my partner is Tracey, we are also travelling on the Everest Base Camp trip on the 10th October. There are 2 more in our party too, Steve and Keith whom I’m sure will be on here soon to say hello. We are all into the mountain life in the UK and Keith and Steve are rock climbers ,  where as  Tracey and I are more of the scrambling type, i.e. Crib Goch, Striding Edge , CMD etc.

Look forward to meeting you all.

Regards

Hello Jill and Andy,

Nice to here from you, ours haven't arrived yet but will no doubt be with us  it in the next few days .

What are you doing about your Visa's ?   We (us 4)  are getting them there as it seems a bit pricey  using Exodus's recommended company and i'm not to happy sending the passports away so close to the trip, Just printing off the passport sized pics this morning.

James

Hi James

We sent ours off to the Nepalese Embassy a couple of months ago, they are very efficient back with in the week. Though there is no problem on arrival at Kathmandu airport. We are on the group flight from Heathrow.

Glad to here you had no probs getting yours, i did fancy getting ours before we went but the forms looked a bit suspect so decided after reading the notes that we could get them there without any issues (Hopefully)

The four of us are also on the group flight with a connecting flight from Manchester to London so no doubt see you both on the flight. Or maybe at Kathmandu queing as you pass by :-)

Cheers

 James Clayton
