Right.. and not cheap either! At least the one for Nepal can processed on arrival. We won't really have that much free time to explore on our own, but I definitely need to start reading something about both countries.

Just had my booking confirmed for this trip. Am unreasonably excited (although not about the impeding mountain of visa paperwork).

Anyone else flying from London?

I will meet you in Delhi. I'm from Spain and found more convenient options to get there.

Hi

I booked a while ago and only got round to sorting my Indian Visa a few weeks ago. It took about 40mins to fill out online. I sent it away to the Indian Visa Centre and got an e-mail about it being processed and in the post with Royal Mail within 4 days. It was actually sent by the Courier DX and I finally got it back last Friday. It was not that difficult in the end. I decided yo get the Visa for Nepal on arrival.

I will be on the flight from London on the 26th. I travelled on my own with Exodus to Peru on the Inca Trail and Rain Forest. I had a great experience meeting anf making great new Friends. I have no doubt this i will get the same from this adventure. I look forward to meeting you all :)

PS. Dont let my picture scare you, lol

Hi! (And happy holidays!)

I also recently sorted out my Indian vias reasonably successfully, but found sorting out the associated paperwork quite stressful  because after 8 years in the UK I still had to gather substantial paperwork to prove that I've lived here long enough to qualify for standard visa processing rather than the extended checks that tae 1.5 month at the very least.   Other than that (and the oddly shaped photographs they require) it was pretty painess.

Might also opt-in for the on-arrival Nepalese visa to avoid the hassle.

Look forward to meeting you and would be really curious to hear more about your experiences at Peru at some point-- I went there this year with another tour operator but with what sounds like a very similar itinerary and really enjoyed it as well.

I have only just booked and I am very excited. This itinerary stood out as being the one for me after a ot of research.   My first trip to India and my first with Exodus.  I did go with Explore to Vietnam etc. Same visa palaver, I am going to the embassy in Victoria as I live quite near. Going to get Nepal visa en route as I gather I wont be the only one .  I will be on the Jet Air flight from Heathrow on Saturday 26th January.  Looking forward to meeting every one

We are advised to take Malaria precautions.  Ihave looked up the info on this in India and Nepal.  I understand that Malaria is not a risk where we are going.

I was advised by travel nurse to take anti malarials but just for Nepal!

Not long now though - getting very excited! Keep pinching myself - can't believe I am going to see the Taj Mahal and then read about all the other highlights!

According to what I have been told here by the doctor, the only area in which there could be a minimal risk is Chitwan, and that's just during the wet season (dry season now there). Some guides I have read even mention that malaria was eradicated from this area long time ago. Nevertheless, long sleeve shirts, long trousers, repelent... these are for course always advisable. Right! 10 days to go. Time to start preparing the luggage.
