I'd be pleased to hear from anyone else on this trip leaving 19 Nov.

Hi Roger

We will be joining the trip in Bangkok on day 2 as we are travelling to Australia afterwards to see our daughter. Hopefully we will meet the rest of the group in airport around 10:00am Sunday morning.

Have yopu applied to the embassy for your Vietnam visa, or have applied to get it at the entry airpost. We are doing the latter, but I'm a little nervous that the process is going to work.

Nevertheless we are really looking forward to the trip and meeting the rest of the group.

Regards

John and Vanda

Hi Roger, John and Vanda,

We are joining the trip at the hotel in Bangkok as we are flying in from Canada.  We are also really looking forward to the trip - it sounds fabulous.  Apparently the flooding problems in Bangkok are starting to get better so lets all keep our fingers crossed!  See you in three weeks!

Hello All

I applied for my Vietnamese visa by post from their UK embassy. It was very straight forward, if expensive, process ( about £65 all told). The alternative is cheaper but having a visa in my passport helps contain my anxiety a little

I've heard there are also floods in Cambodia but haven't been able to find any detail about the affected areas.  I've been to Thailand twice before and was affected by floods on both occasions. Duh.

I very much look forward to meeting you all.

Best wishes Roger

We applied for our Vietnamese visa from their Canadian embassy.  It was very straight forward, as you said but expensive, as you also said.  Funnily enough, our cost for the two visas, including courier which they recommended, was $206. Cdn., which equates to about 125 UKL, almost the same as yours.

We've been to Thailand once before, but you mustn't have been there as there was no flooding then!  This just makes it more of an adventure, doesn't it?

We look forward to meeting you on the 20th at the meeting (we're flying in on the 19th .....hopefully....).

Hi all,

It looks like Bangkok is finally wringing itself out.

See you all on Sunday.  I'm looking forward to getting together with old friends and meeting new.
