As an Exodus employee and previous leader myself, I was very grateful to have had the opportunity to join this trip. I was definitely impressed!
‘Tuscany Walks and Chianti Wines’ provides an excellent insight into the Chianti Region of Tuscany. We did three fantastic walks and enjoyed great wine tastings throughout the week. I am never bored visiting the amazing Towers of San Gimignano!
Most Inspirational Moment
Wine tasting at a local vineyard whilst looking out over the rolling Tuscan hills. Yes, it was as good as I hoped!

Tommaso was an excellent leader, each day he proved he was very knowledgeable, with a great sense of humour. He was a good communicator and as someone who was brought up locally, you could really see he loved showing the group his ‘back yard’ .
Advice for Potential Travellers
Bring a dry bag for taking a bottle of wine home safely in your main luggage. But don’t worry, shipping is offered by the vineyards too!
Very well organised trip with excellent guide. Generally discovering the beautiful scenery of Tuscany, visiting the nearby villages and towns and the trips to Siena and Florence.

Lorenzo was an excellent guide with in depth knowledge of the local area. He was very organised and made sure we had all the information we needed for the following day’s activities in good time. He was friendly with a good sense of humour.
Our tour guide Tomasso on the Tuscany walking tour was FANTASTIC!! He was incredibly knowledge, warm and inclusive. He was one of the best tour guides we have ever had. You must use him whenever possible.

Tommaso was amazing!! He was an exceptional tour guide and I would recommended him over and over again. He made the experience so very enjoyable and special. He was just a pleasure to spend a week getting to know and hang out with.
Great guide, great walks, and great cultural tours. Also, the hotel was very nice and the hotel restaurant was excellent.
It was an excellent tour. The guide (Tomaso) was excellent and very knowledgeable about history, architecture, horticulture, agriculture, wine making, olive oil making, and more. The walks were also very well thought out and the cultural days in Siena and Florence were excellent.
Most Inspirational Moment
The walks along with the information provided the guide. The cultural days in Siena and Florence were very good. The "owl" museum in Siena was really good and interesting.

Excellent tour leader. Extremely knowledgeable about many topics. Extremely friendly and helpful. Exodus should do everything they can to retain this tour leader and hire him as often as possible.
Beautiful Tuscan countryside, good wine, delicious food, and history
I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. It was a great blend of walking through the beautiful Tuscan countryside, tasting organic wines, sampling delicious local foods, and getting a bit of Renaissance and medieval history with visits to Sienna, Florence, and San Girmignano.
Most Inspirational Moment
Witnessing the passion of the younger generation who have chosen to continue the legacy of small family run wine and olive farms. This is very heartening in an over commercialized world.

I can’t say enough about Roberta. She has a wonderful, positive energy and sincere passion for the area. She is extremely caring and has a natural ability to make everyone feel included without it feeling forced at all.
The whole week was fantastic! The walks were beautiful, the group was lovely and gelled well, the wine and food were delicious, the hotel staff was gracious and accommodating, and Jordan (our guide) made the whole experience work!

Sitting around during down times or at meal times hearing other people's stories. It was great getting to know the other travelers, laughing and sharing experiences.

Jordan was brilliant! He set the tone for the whole week, making it fun and safe. He provided great routes to walk, all sorts of fascinating knowledge, and kept an eye out for the needs of each individual. His passion was evident in his respect and care for the group and the locals.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Be willing to be open and engage with the other travelers. It makes a huge difference in the whole experience, even if you are doing this solo.
The week was full of many different experiences. Despite a smaller group than usual, the walking was excellent, even though it was very hot. The wine-tastings were very different, and all informative, some with some nice nibbles included. The hotel is lovely with an excellent (ask for a room with a view) with a swimming pool and home made pizzas to die for. City-wise, we visited St Gimignano, Siena (brilliant guided tour included) and Florence. Our guide, Jordan, did a great job keeping us under control.

Take lots of water on the walks!
I had a brilliant experience walking and wine tasting in Tuscany, led by our fantastic guide, Jordan. This trip has a good balance of picturesque walks, wine tasting and city days and offers a great introduction to one of Italy’s most beautiful and historic regions. Our itinerary ran seamlessly and there was never a moment where I felt it was too full-on, as we were given plenty of free time between activities. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat!
