Discover Costa Rica
I enjoyed all aspects of this tour. It was well organised and structured with lovely accommodation and delivered on the wildlife experience it promised. A couple of the driving days are quite long but not bad as we had a great and enthusiastic bunch of people along for the ride
Most Inspirational Moment
Hard to say --being out amongst nature is inspirational every day--maybe our guide's enthusiasm
Thoughts on Group Leader
Pedro was very well informed on the wildlife , helpful ,well organised and good company. He was also very inclusive, very important for single travellers like me.
Advice for Potential Travellers
If you like to get out in nature and are a reasonable walker I really recommend this trip

Great experience and very good guide
This was the highest mountain I’d been to so was a little worried about whether the altitude would affect me. In the end it was totally fine and I needn’t have worried. This may have been partly to do with the group I was in as the pace was much more leisurely than I’d imagined, and in actual fact I was hoping for something a little more strenuous!
Our guide, Hassan, was very good and made sure everyone was looked after.
Most Inspirational Moment
Getting to the top of course!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Hassan was excellent and kept everybody in order and happy.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Bring walking poles, they're an enormous help for the descent.

Great trip to Uzbekistan
An absolutely great trip. We were lucky with our group of 8 as we gelled brilliantly. Star leader/guide in Dilshod. I loved Uzbekistan. Relaxed, safe, and met with universal friendliness. Once there a very cheap holiday. Itinerary pretty standard with exception of excursion from Khiva out to desert fortresses which was interesting – one of bits of “leavening” of a diet of cities and mosques/madrassas etc, lovely tho they were. Altogether well balanced trip, and would recommend Exodus version.. Can’t avoid long journeys between centres, but we had plenty of space in a medium sized coach. Even the retail stops (carpets, embroidery (beautiful pieces), pottery were quality.
Most Inspirational Moment
All good but coming around a lane corner in Bukhara to see an extraordinary vista of domes, minarets and tiled archways. Also seeing Tamerlan's mausoleum and tomb.
Thoughts on Group Leader
A star. Dilshod rules.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Lots of handicrafts pottery, brass etc so if you like that sort of thing leave space in your bag. Carpets are fabulous. If buying a carpet take sufficient dollars to pay cash. Lower price as avoids seller paying approx 12 1/2 % charge to Mastercard.
Think twice if a vegan. Uzbeks are serious carnivores. Meat tastes great but don't stray too far from shish kebabs and koftes as more adventurous parts of menu often disappoint.

Tuscany Walking and Wine
A really enjoyable and varied week in Tuscany. Three lovely walks through forests and vineyards. Stunning hilltop villages and market towns. Excellent wine tastings and winery visits, each a little different, and we certainly drank a lot of local Chianti. Liz, our guide, was efficient, knowledgeable, capable and so friendly. We had plenty of time to explore the cities of Siena and Florence at our own pace, and on our free day most of us opted for a cookery class at a local restaurant. Enormous fun and the lunch we helped produce, was amazing.
The family run farmhouse where we stayed was full of character, and they made us so welcome. The evening meals were generous and based on local produce and served with their own estate wines.
Most Inspirational Moment
The scenery was stunning. A beautiful part of Italy. So many wild flowers around the vineyards. And looking down on the rooftops of Florence from the Plaza Michaelangelo was just fabulous.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Liz Proctor was so efficient, capable, energetic and friendly. She was always adding extra touches and local specialities for us to enjoy.
Advice for Potential Travellers
This was the first trip of the season. It was very cold in the farmhouse, we had some rain and dense cloud, so be prepared with extra clothing and wet weather gear.

Excellent trip
This was an excellent trip: tour group leader and support team were superb, hotels generally of a high standard, local restaurants serving really tasty food. The cycle routes for the first two days were rather dull and dusty but after that they just got better and better. Quite a lot of transfer time between cycles but because the temperature and humidity were so high, we were all appreciative of the cooling off time in the air conditioned coach. I think maybe at these temperatures (38C)the cycle rating should be a little more towards the difficult end of the spectrum. That said the back up team provided everything we needed – regular pit stops, plenty of rehydration, snacks (the fresh mango was to die for!) and even chilled wet wipes to the back of neck!
Highly recommended.

Hai Van Pass
Off the beaten track villages
Cycling in the late afternoon through huge cemetery - so atmospheric.
Halong Bay overnight boat - great food, fun kayaking and dancing into the night.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Calm, well organised, great sense of humour. Excellent steers to local restaurants. Chi could not be faulted.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Expect the heat, pace yourself and enjoy!

A Week In Jordan
A fantastic trip through Jordan visiting sites of interest throughout the whole country, almost from top to bottom.
Most Inspirational Moment
Walking through the Siq in Petra to see the famous site of The Treasury for the first time. I had to run back and do it all over again!
Again in Petra, the walks climbing up to the Monastry and to the High Place of Sacrifice. Just fantastic.
Snorkelling in the Red Sea - I've never seen so many fish!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Our group leader, Ala Abu Amara, was everything you could wish to have in a guide. Informative, knowledgeable, but also and almost more importantly, great fun. An absolute splendid chap who I hope to keep in contact with.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Just go. A wonderful country, with very friendly people. An oasis of calm in a region beset by turmoil.

Puglia & Matera - April 2016
A really brilliant holiday which combines leisurely walking with very interesting sight seeing. The scenery is awesome particularly with the backdrop of some beautiful Italian villages and towns. Add the Italian cuisine and it would be hard to beat this trip.
Most Inspirational Moment
Matera - what a stunning gem of an old town, Reeks of history around every corner. It will be City of culture in 2019 - I would recommend going before the rest of Europe discover it !
Thoughts on Group Leader
Marinella is a first class guide - nothing is too much trouble for her and her knowledge of area & sites is very detailed.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Food is so good that you will probably not lose any weight on this holiday !
