Loved the area and the guide was exceptional. He organised coffee in the village twice and a super tapas lunch at another village on our route. His knowledge was remarkable and he was extremely helpful.
Most Inspirational Moment
Difficult to chose one in particular but loved being in the local community for coffees and lunch. All of the walks were lovely and at the level described.

Michael was an excellent leader. He worked out very early in who needed rests and always ensured that they had they had ample time for these. He set the pace to suit the group he was working with. His extraordinary knowledge of history, geography, flora and fauna of the area, the area geology, climate change effects, local communities, products grown locally, the walks were always described accurately each evening, what was needed, temperatures to expect, water stops, timings always spot on.
Excellent trip. Lamb was a fantastic guide and the trip was really well organised with regular stops to ensure everyone stayed hydrated in 38 degrees.

Our leader was excellent. Always mixing with the group, sharing knowledge, and always ensuring we were fully briefed for every part of the trip ensuring that the cycling was safe eg warning of pot holes, dangers of the down hills etc

Most Inspirational Moment
The Blue mosque, the palaces and the Basilica Cistern. Also enjoyed trying the street food and the local restaurants we were taken to, which we wouldn’t have ventured into on our own

Melissa was excellent on all fronts. She was extremely knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about her country and its features. She was very helpful to all group members and very aware of people’s needs. If anyone had any queries on any front she was quick to try and sort it out.
We had a fantastic guide and the entire trip was fairly seamless. Having transfers to and from the airport and all accommodations taken care of was wonderful. The itinerary was great, and our guide knew how to make the most of it. Bruno was amazing!

Getting to see all the different areas of beauty within Madeira. Each hike was different and absolutely beautiful.

Bruno was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He clearly loves Madeira and knows so much about it. He was able to provide suggestions for local places to explore in the evening. Our trip was definitely better because of him!
Everything in the trip went exactly as advertised. The treatment we received and the staff assigned to guide us were all exemplary.

Thoughts on Group Leader
Mohammed was excellent in all conceivable aspects of the trip. He consistently when above and beyond all reasonable expectations to ensure our safety, comfort and satisfaction. In addition, despite my understanding that the other three members of the team (the second cycling guide plus the two drivers) were relatively inexperienced, Mohammed also managed to train and coordinate them as a well-oiled team, in addition to his primary role of looking after the 'paying guests'.
This was my 8th trip with Exodus, the others having been between 2000 & 2012). I enjoy the format and Exodus has normally suited me (with one exception in 2002)

Krishna is a thoroughly good leader in all respects. Efficient, helpful, sociable. Couldn't be faulted.
This tour is superb such a high level of hotels and guiding and inclusions! The guide Andrew was brilliant so informative, friendly and engaging. You got to see virtually every temple you have probably heard of and get to see different things in each one that Andrew guides you to see. The timings are great they try to avoid getting you there when all the huge groups will be there. There is so much included with all the food inclusions that the tour price is virtually all you will pay, just allow a budget for drinks(in the old cataract a cocktail is easily £30 mark!) and local craft gifts you want to buy! The pace is full on to start but then you get to the dahabiya and the pace eases down to a lovely relaxing level floating down the nile nipping to the odd temple then in the jacuzzi or sat on deck having a drink watching the world go by, it was brilliant.

Seeing the pyramids from the observation area with noone else there because of the timing of the tour was incredible

He was superb genuinely not had a better guide before, Andrew was so good I felt sorry for other groups we saw because they didn't have our guide.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Prepare for the food, Egyptians seemingly are feeders and the portions are akin to USA portion sizes!
Great itinerary, superb organisation and excellent guides.

For me, the pyramids were the highlight with the leisurely sail down the Nile as a close second.
Thoughts on Group Leader
We were deeply impressed by Rania's enthusiasm for her topic and her knowledge of the subject. Her experience was evident throughout, including her use of various tools (laser pointer) to facilitate the interpretation of the particular site. Her overall enthusiasm kept us going through the day even when we had the 5am starts.
The itinerary was varied and packed. I enjoyed being in a local environment and feeling genuinely looked after by a happy and incredibly helpful staff.
Most Inspirational Moment
The Path of the Gods walk was my highlight. I loved walking the coast, being shown the local agricultural traditions. Being led by a guide (Paolo Longo) who had so much care for our well being and enjoyment. Paolo had detailed local knowledge which he imparted and listened to what we wanted and adapted for us. We were an older group and led us in stretching exercises to prepare us for walking.

Paolo was approachable, very helpful, fun, informative and respectful of everyone's ability. He went beyond his role to provide suggestions of places to visit and provided lots of information via the WhatsApp group he created. He appeared even on the free day to ensure we each knew what we were doing for the activity we had chosen.
