Enjoyed but could be better

Didn’t get off to a good start because exodus didn’t inform us and several others of an itinerary change, although some others in the party did hear about it. Although the reverse order for the visits is better we ended up with a 1/2 day on Paros with not much to do and no useful suggestion from the tour leader. He was generally a very good guide but occasionally not as flexible as one might wish. The walks were generally good and not hard apart from the odd steep climb. Just wish there had been more of them (see above). We were recommended to go to the buried town of akrotiri, which was well worth the trip together with the museum in Thira. Can’t understand why Exodus don’t make this part of the trip if time permits. If we hadn’t gone we would have had another wasted morning on Santorini, to add to that on Paros.
Hotel beds generally rock hard and in 2 out of the 4, some of the smallest shower cubicles we have ever experienced. I think we would have preferred to pay a bit more for a better hotel on Santorini & Paros
Ferry journeys were always longer than anticipated but luckily weather was OK so we could go on deck apart from Naxos to Rafina on the catamaran where you have aircraft type seats

Full on every fay

A full on safari/trip through Botswana and Zimbabwe – not for you if you need 10 hours sleep every night.
The highlight without doubt is the trip via Mokorro canoe and camping trip into the Otovango delta.
Some long days travelling in the mini bus but all very worthwhile.

Good Varied hiking, but need to be fit for the scrambling involved

Excellent , Confident and friendly leader who coped well with a wide variety of fitness levels
Good food served by the hotel, I personally found the beds very hard!
Shame about the weather, but not much anyone can do about that!

Excellent taster of Japan

This trip was an excellent way to experience many different aspects of Japan, although I feel like I have only touched the surface, and I want to go back! Japan, the people, and the food are all truly wonderful.

Sicily Food and Culture Trip

A great balance of food and culture – all of the highlights covered, and no food specialities left untasted. The itinerary was a perfect blend of food and culture, and the itinerary itself was perfect – nothing could really be improved upon.

Wonderfully varied trip

Loved Peru. Land of contrasts and dramatic scenery, from the soaring peaks of the Andes to the world’s second deepest canyon and the highest navigable lake, from the simple lifestyle of the Titicaca islands to the sophistication of Miraflores in Lima. The surprise of a desert oasis with towering sandunes. Basking seals among rows of pelicans and boobies on the offshore islands, majestic condors in the canyon, and cute alpacas and even cuter vicunas. Impressive Incan structures – from Machu Pichu to terraced mountainsides, and the elegant colonial architecture of the Spanish.

The trip notes mention the early starts and long hours on the bus – this is true, but the spectacular scenery provides an excellent distraction. The bus itself was large, and although it lacked a little of the camaraderie I’ve experienced on smaller mini-buses with Exodus in the past, the space to spread out and the on-board loo were appreciated. My attitude is that the hours of travel are the price you pay for seeing so much, and those are the memories that remain.

I loved the variety of scenery and activities on this trip. I thought it was very well put together, including allowing for a gradual adjustment to altitude.

Fascinating and beautiful country

The desert landscape and Petra are stunning. The scrambling is exciting. The archaeology is outstanding. The culture is fascinating.

Monkeys, caiman, snakes, giant otters, sloth and multiple birds!

A great extension to our Galapagos trip.
We used the extra time in Quito to see more of the city and visit the Equator – found it easier and cheaper to use a hotel booked taxi than the official tours.
The journey from Coca is very much part of the experience – lots to see especially when you transfer to the paddled canoe for 2 hours along small blackwater creek to the lodge.
Parrots aren’t guaranteed at the licks but we were lucky enough to see a troop of peccaries instead!
All the activities, apart from the night hike, involved a trip in our canoe from where there was always lots to see.
Our guides were helpful and brilliant at spotting animals in the mass of green, but there is also plenty to see around the lodges.

Amazing Sri Lanka!

From the private pick up at the airport in Colombo to drop off at the airport things could not have gone more smoothly. The pace of the tour was excellent given its short duration. Accommodations were very good-clean, comfortable and well located. Sri Lanka is a stunning country with friendly people, beautiful scenery and an abundance of wildlife.

Vietnamese

This trip lived up to what it promised from the start to the end. It was excellent value for money and provided a real insight into this wonderful country and it’s people. Our group consisted of 16 people, some couples, some travelling independently with a range of ages from the UK, USA and Spain. By the end of the two weeks we were all good friends. The weather started pleasantly warm, although very cloudy, in the north and steadily became hotter and sunnier the further south we travelled. Our group leader Anh Tran, who we knew as Viet, also helped to make this trip special as he worked hard throughout to provide us with information and guidance about the places we visited.
