Our guide Glenda showed us costa rica through her eyes. Our driver Mauricio was such a safe driver travelling around the highlights of costa rica. Well organised and Our guide gave us loads of info about everything.
The various national parks.
Glenda was a fantastic guide, certainly the best guide I have had with Exodus. She was enthusiastic about her country giving us a well balance view about Costa Rican life, the rain forest, a great wildlife spotter. She took excellent care of the whole group.

Abundant wild life especially birds and aquatic animals and monkeys. Trip down river at El Teguoro national Park. Ziplining at monte Verde and the cloud forest.

Monte Verde and Savegre
David was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the places we visited and the bird and wild life we saw, making sure that we got to see everything that was possible. Everything was well organised and punctual, he was always pleasant and helpful and tried to accommodate everyone in the group. We could not have asked for a better guide.
Discover Costa Rica has a great itinerary. Joining instructions and trip notes accurate and clear, good communications. Top quality guide and driver.
Accommodation at Tortuguero national park and Las Esquinas were outstanding. Walks in the rainforests with guide Armando Obundo were a joy. So informative, knowledgeable and good humoured. Recognised and met the needs of the group so well. Incredible views of wildlife. Good choice of optional activites at Monteverde- Hanging Bridges, Butterflies, Zip Lines etc- good quality activities. Small group- only 6- but worked so well together. Good balance of palnned activites and free-time.
Armando was outstanding. Fluent English, detailed knowledge of flora and fauna, especailly birds. Exceptionally patient, found best views of wildlife and helped the group get some fantastic photos. He was as excited as we were when we spotted a new creature! Good humoured and sociable. Quickly recognised where any support was needed within the group. Really, a very good guide. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Exceptional. Always well presented polite and friendly. Cant find fault with him. Superb communicator. Clear in his timings and when and where we needed to be somewhere. Very patient with a difficult member of the group. Always safety conscious. Amazing knowledge of all the wildlife, good spotting skills and liaison with other guides on where wildlife was. Good field craft. Added on lots of extra optional walks this was much appreciated.
The guide was amazing, the food and hotel were really good. I was expecting to hike in the forest and mountains but it was more of a bird watching tour. So it was zero walking and lots and lots of bird watching standing still for long periods of time. It was not what i was looking for.
I love the boat rides in tortuguero and the zipline in monte verde

This journey is graded as Activity Level 1 (Easy) and is designed with a focus on wildlife viewing, including birdwatching, which often involves longer periods spent observing while stationary. Included and optional walks are generally short, suitable for most fitness levels, and occasionally involve rough paths or gentle trails. Some departures are specifically led for keen birders, which may increase the time spent on wildlife observation rather than extended trekking. While we regret that this trip may not have been ideally suited to your preferences, we do offer a variety of other trips that may better match your desired level of activity and adventure. We truly value your feedback and will continue to ensure that trip information clearly communicates the balance of walking and wildlife viewing, helping future travellers make the best possible choice.
