Egyptian bus accident

The recent bus accident was a Grand Circle Tours group.  Three bus loads of travelers, one bus sideswiped a parked truck.  News report as follows: CAIRO (AFP) – Eight American tourists were killed and 21 injured when their bus collided with a truck near the southern Egyptian city of Aswan, police and the official MENA news agency said.

The bus carrying 37 tourists from the United States was headed to the ancient Egyptian Abu Simbel temples when it collided with a damaged truck parked on the side of the road, MENA said.

A police official said six of the dead were women. The bus driver and a tour guide were also injured in the crash, which occurred early in the morning about 30 kilometres (18 miles) from Aswan.

Four tourists were in critical condition, the police official said, adding that the injured were taken to a military hospital in Aswan.

Grand Circle and OAT initially posted a report and then removed it, probably out of concern it would scare off future travelers.  Whatever the reason, we can all sympathize with those who survived and with the families of those who did not.  A thing like this is bad anytime, but during the holidays it is compounded.

Oh! I had heard about it. My sister was on a trip there that time and therefore, this news was everywhere during that period. Such posts scares me a lot. I was also involved in an accident once but never meant to drunk drive that night. Luckily, a good Los Angeles DUI lawyer helped me out because it was an emergency.
