The skiing was fantastic.  The accommodation was not up to the usual Exodus standard.

The trip was very good, it was a little tiring and selling it as moderate/leisurely is a mistake. There were a few things that i thought were hard work such as climbing down canyons on frayed bits of rope. The accommodation was ok not great but satisfactory. Camping was an experience. Walking up mt. Siani was very good, the trips notes could have done with highlighting the 7km trek before you get to the 700 steps.  The 9 hour train trip cairo was a bit arduous  not sure why we could not fly.

Great location, comfortable, homely accomodation and excellent food added to the fun of snow shoeing with friendly and supportive fellow travellers made this a trip to remember.

Exodus Response

We are glad that Mr Teece enjoyed his trip with us to the Pyrenees and we appreciate the feedback given. La Feniere is classed as a 'mountain lodge' and offers a comfortable standard of accommodation. We agree that it would benefit from a drying room however due to planning restrictions this is not possible however there are certain areas that clothes can be placed to dry.

Regarding group sizes, as a commercial operator, Exodus has to try to balance the safety of clients, which is always our top priority, with the commercial requirements of running a business. By using experienced and well trained leaders, completing regular assessments on the safety of our trips, seeking expert local advice, and using well recognised and well used routes, we are confident that we can run this trip safely using the current leader ratios.

Very fortunate with the weather for beginning of March,. The hotel in Marrekesh was only 20 minutes walk in to the old town and it was good to be away from the hustle and bustle. Trip itself was very well organised, walks were great and so were the people taking us.

An extremely well put together holiday which, given the location, had unexpected elements of luxury along the way. I felt that the holiday had been ordered so that we could acclimatise slowly, which was appreciated.

The excitement of glimpsing your first elusive and truly wild Tiger in Bandhavgarh makes the long journey worth every hour it took. A country of huge contrasts as you arrive in bustling Delhi then transfer to the apparent chaos of Indian railways to travel through towns, and vast swathes of countryside to Katni station for the transfer by road to Tala - road travel was an experience unique to India!
