Walking in Iceland

This was my first organised group holiday so I was a bit anxious about it as I like organising holidays myself. However, I loved every second of it and will be going on an Exodus trip again. The trip was perfectly organised and the guide was incredible....nice, Icelandic, talkative, funny, excellent cook, and lots of stories about the history, folklore and geology of Iceland. I learnt so much on this trip. The trip also allowed space to be on your own if you so desired and there was no compulsion to be with the group at all time. Maybe I was lucky with the group, but they were all nice, down-to-earth people, mostly experienced walkers who were all there to enjoy the scenery and escape their usually busy lifestyles for a few weeks. I also liked this trip as all the walks were very varied. You have 5 big walking days and it varied from volcanic to glaciers to Alpine meadows to spooky, sulphuric mist walk. All excellent. It was one of my best holidays and will definitely go back to Iceland.

montenegro, bosnia and herzegovina

I have been on several of your trips, but this one rates as one of the best. Anaid our guide was very knowledgeable and gave an unbiased account of the homelands war which was extremely interesting and made me want to learn more about the Balkans, so already looking in the brochure for next year.

Excellent tour of China's major sites (ACE)

This tour was very comprehensive, taking in many of China's top sites. This does mean alot of travelling between points but what you see definitely makes up for that. The hightlight for me in Beijing was the Great Wall appearing on a steep ridge. Onto Xian the scale and individual details of the Terracotta Warriers amazed everyone. Seeing the Giant Panda's so close and active by being first visitors of the day was brilliant. This is busy trip with optional shows in the evenings and stunning Yangshou a chance to improve your Cooking, Cycling and Calligraphy skills!

A great experience

The Peaks and Valleys of the Atlas trip is a 15 day trip, 12 days of which are spent in the mountains. The Atlas Mountains are a fantastic place to visit, with stunning views all the way to the start of the Sahara, barren mountainsides and beautiful green valleys and villages.

Fantastic trip

A fantastic group walking holiday in the scenic South of France exploring hidden gems in the countryside. Our guide, Stephanie was absolutely great, organising us and looking after the well being of everyone. Menton was a good choice for base as it was a vibrant and pretty town, with a good beach (though stony), many shops and restaurants along with an interesting museum.

Cycling in Croatia

An excellent holiday. A fantastic group, and an excellent group leader and driver. A beautiful country and excellent intinerary. We had a good mix of challenging and more enjoyable rides. A well organised trips the only thing that really let it down were the flights - they were indirect with short connection times, and the flight home left at 6.25 in the morning - not a great end to an otherwise excellent trip.

Our 5 star adventure

From the moment we were greeted by Kiptoo Peter Langat we knew it was going to be an adventure. He showed us to the transport and within 10 minutes we knew the whole group, everyone was very excited to meet and get the trip started. Within half an hour of the journey to Nairobi everyone was at ease with each other and looking forward to the next 18 days ahead.

Anna Clark

I just want to state that we have traveled on nine previous occasions with Exodus and have always given ratings of four or more stars. This rating is not a reflection on Colombia, which we loved, but on the value for money this trip offers. Compared to previous trips this seemed to be very expensive basically for a trip that offered hotels and transport.

Exodus Response

We are extremely sorry that Anna’s trip did not live up to her previously very positive experiences of travelling with us. We understand that this departure did not run as smoothly as we expected, and in conjunction to the below review, we have now responded to Anna and Rosalind’s concerns directly. An Exodus staff member will be travelling on the next departure of this trip and we trust this will ensure that the trip continues to run to the high standards we expect.

Fantastic experience - even with a few unexepcted hills!

We cycled The Vineyards and Villages of Burgundy trip with our classic tandem - which really did prove to be double the fun on a bicycle made for two! The scenery was spectacular - switching from pedalling through some of the most famous vineyards in the world to scenic villages where each one was prettier than the previous one, to beautiful canal paths and magnificent chateaux. It was made all the more spectacular by the warmth of the sunshine - and the friendliness of the locals we met en route, many of whom enjoyed the spectacle of our tandeming efforts! With most of the route along designated cycling paths, it felt very safe and the area is perfectly set up for cyclists - with the paths mainly being of a much higher quality than experienced in the UK. The organisation was brilliant - particularly the ease of the luggage transfer - which allowed us to enjoy the cycling and the quaint individual hotels which all offered a warm welcome and were fully geared up for cyclists.
