Cycle Indochina & Angkor

Busy Two Weeks

Came away feeling that I saw and experienced heaps more than I would have done as an independent traveller. Added bonus was having a good group of fellow travellers which is always a bonus as everyone seemed to gel pretty well.

Discover Myanmar (Burma)

Discover Myanmar before the rest of the world does!

5
A fabulous holiday showcasing all of Myanmar's tourist hot spots. From the city of Yangon - visiting the spectacular Shwedagon Pagoda, to the plains of Bagan with thousands of ancient pagodas, Mandalay - a river trip on the Ayeyarwady River, Kalaw - trekking in the mountains through fields of cabbages and pine forests, and Inle Lake with the houses on stilts, floating gardens & leg rowing fishermen.

Petra & Wadi Rum Trek

Amazing - I loved the desert

5
What an experience - trekking in the desert is like nothing I have ever done before. I loved the space, the quiet and the rhythm of the actual walking. The stars at night were unbelievable. The food for us veggies was excellent and really varied and tasty. I felt that I had grown by this whole experience.

Cuba Mixed Activity

Cuba Mixed Activity

This is an excellent tour - a great mix of activities and sights. It was a terrific way to get acquainted with Cuba and its people. I enjoyed the cycling but I feel a group of eighteen is too large for one guide to lead. Travel in Cuba is interesting! - plans changed (mostly hotels) at the last minute and the guide had to make new plans quickly. We enjoyed Havana immensely and think it would be a good idea to add a day in this wonderful city to the tour.

Exodus Response

We are extremely sorry that Jennifer found one of our Canadian staff members, Amanda, to be unprepared for some of the activities. We regularly send staff on our tours to improve our knowledge about our destinations, activities and specific itineraries, and we expect anyone representing Exodus to conduct themselves professionally. Amanda was mortified to have caused any offence or upset to Jennifer and we want to assure Jennifer that Amanda’s manager has spoken to her about this feedback. On a more positive note, we are pleased that Jennifer found this to be an excellent tour with a great mix of activities and sights.

Walking The Amalfi Coast

Walking the Amalfi Coast

A lovely trip in a beautiful part of Italy, the walks were well planned and thought out with good variety of scenery and challenge. The group leader was brilliant and helped make the trip a really enjoyable experience. The family run hotel was warm and welcoming and the chef provided an excellent variety of meals. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who even got up extra early on our last morning to ensure we had breakfast before leaving at 6am. There were extra treats such as a seafood demonstration and a pizza night on two of the evenings, with guests invited to take part. In all my years of walking holidays I would say this was definitely the best one.

Cuba: La Isla Grande

La Isla Grande = Fantastico!

5
An extremely well organised trip starting and ending in Havana. Covering the entire island by land rather than taking any internal flights gives the opportunity to experience the diversity of Cuba's landscape. A range of accommodation including colonial hotels and casa particulares means a comfortable stay throughout. Knowledgeable tour guide(s) provided a superb education into Cuban history and politics through to the current day with visits to key locations. I recommend this trip to anyone wanting to understand Cuba, it's people, history, culture, creativity and energy.

Sierra de Aitana Trek

Sierra de Aitana

Great walking - shame about the rain and snow (in April!) but the guides made the right decision about curtailing and altering walks where the climbs would have been dangerous in wet weather. If you want to get away from it all this is the place to be. Most days we saw no one else walking. This is an unexplored area of Spain.
