Victoria Falls to Cape Town lodge based

We had just the best time, our initial expectations were blown apart with so many exciting and diverse experiences. We had very early starts but we were glad to go to bed to sleep so we didnt miss a minute of anything the next day. Never a dull moment! we saw the Big Five, mind blowing! The Namibian desert was unbelievable such an unforgiving stark environment! and we went there and survived! I could write a book on all the experiences on this trip, we definitely won't be short of dinner part stories for a long long time.

A walk through one of the world's most beautiful places

We were fortunate in having sunshine every day . We were able to see the Mont Blanc massif at its very best- a glorious vision of splendour . This is a journey i would urge anyone who enjoys walking in the mountains to undertake. It is challenging but with a good level of fitness it is not daunting.

Dubrovnik and the Dalmatian Islands

Excellent holiday. Croatia is a beautiful place with stunning views and lovely food. We were given the option every evening to go on a group meal or go on our own and our group leader suggested good restaurants to people who preferred to do their own thing. The hotels we stayed in were all clean and the staff were friendly. The restaurants we ate in were excellent and not once did I have a bad meal. The walks were good and at an easy pace so everyone could keep up. We had a very large group of people on the trip, 20 I think in total with the youngest being a student and the oldest one aged 70 and we all got on well and had lots laughs

Exodus Response

We were surprised to hear that Susanne was not impressed by the equipment used by her group as we have previously received great reviews for this trip. We’re sorry that her experience wasn’t as positive as others, so we are currently looking into her comments.

Namibia and Angola Experience

A fantastic trip into the remote south-west of Angola. A great feeling of adventure, as this was the first Exodus trip to run there for 7 years. It did feel as though we were pioneering the trip, as much had changed in that time, and much was unknown - such as where to find diesel for the vehicles! Our guide (Lucky) and 2 drivers (George and Cristiano) were brilliant. They worked so hard to make things work out and give us a tremendous time. The group of 7 of us got on well and made the experience really good fun as well. The food was always plentiful and very, very good. The downsides were perhaps to be expected in a trip which was starting up after a long gap: we couldn't do everything that the trip notes promised, e.g. The visit to ghost town could not happen as it was closed. The most important problem lay with the visit to Lubango, which had clearly changed in the last 7 years. The planned camp-site was deemed by the local military to be unsafe, and the eventual situation under the floodlit statue of Jesus was far from ideal. Given the host of lodges available in Lubango, this needs thinking about for future trips. Details of obtaining an Angolan visa could be made clearer - probably best to say look at the embassy web-site and follow their instructions. However, it was a brilliant experience, and Etosha really came up trumps with so many good animal sightings. The night at the Waterberg was a lovely way to finish.
