Walking the Amalfi coast

A great weeks activity I feel much fitter. The activity was occasionally tailored to the needs of our group, done sympathetically with no fuss, the great number of steps involved on some walks provoked some knee problems. The hotel was warm, comfy and served great food of excellent variety and quality, I don't think I've ever been so well fed or served. Our guide Christina knew her job well, was friendly and attentive without being over fussy. Her suggestion to visit a paper making demonstration was a real bonus to the trip and put the walk and scenery for that day into context.

Cycling Vietnam

We shared our trip with 16 others and each day we experienced something different. The scenery was stunning, the diversity of crops and farming was amazing and having a window into the history and the present day lives of the people of Vietnam was indeed a privilege. We had so many experiences, perhaps a bit long in the bus on some days but that gave us a rest and enabled us to reach our daily destinations. Some days the riding was pretty strenuous with the heat but I was grateful for my pre holiday fitness on the bike. Finishing up with the overnight train ride from Hue to Hanoi was fun and the trip on the boat to Halon Bay was stunning.

A Week in Jordan

An amazing week of archaeology, history, geology and a bit of fun thrown in! Fairly leisurely for an Exodus trip but still packed with stuff to do. Fantastic historical sites with so much more to see than expected. Good food and good service from hotels.

Cambodian Adventure

A really great holiday, with a lovely group of people and an excellent guide. Pheap and his driver Mr Ouch showed us with pride their beautiful country. Recovering from terrible events in the 70's Cambodia is now opening up to tourism and has much to offer.

Winter Wildlife of Yellowstone

This was a great trip to see Yellowstone in winter, however the Park has not had much snow this season - it was visible mainly at higher altitude. This did not stop us seeing a great variety of the Park's wildlife - Bighorn sheep, Pronghorn Antelope, Bison, Bald eagle, Elk, Coyote and, of course the Wolf!

Cycle Indochina & Angkor

A trip of a life time a great opportunity to see 3 countries from a local perspective. The scenery and the bikes were fabulous even the transition from one country to another was seamless with the support teams really taking care of us all. The snacks on the way provided by them were lovely especially the home made lemonade in Cambodia. We really got to know the support teams as they made us all feel safe and their sense of humour was brilliant. As a group we all got on so well and as I had not paid for a single room our guide arranged that us 3 ladies rotated the rooms so we all had at least 3 nights on our own.

A Great Trip on the Queen Beatriz's!

Travelled on the "Queen B" from Wednesday to Sunday. The above water world was excellent, but the snorkelling with the sea lions, sea turtles and shRks was spectacular! Puerto Ayora is a quaint little town, to which I would love to return.

This was a fantastic week spent with delightful companions. The scenery was stunning, the walks were varied and enjoyable. The pace was leisurely, and although as a Sunday walker I found some of the ascents a little strenuous, it was all well worth the effort, and Paul our leader was on hand with lots of help and encouragement. Optional activities such as Vesuvius and Herculaneum were also well organised and enjoyable.
