Discover Sri Lanka (not premium version)

Excellent trip. Good mix of culture and temples, cities and rural, walking and beach time. (Please note I did not go on the 'premium' version, but I couldn't the correct trip on the list!)

High Tatras Cross Country skiing

A great new venue for Exodus in this interesting country. Even in early March there was plenty of snow and the local guides made sure we got to see different locations. Foreign tourists were very few and far between and the country is still getting to grips with some aspects of winter sports tourism. Apart from the main downhill ski centre, the tracks are not groomed to the standard that I have seen in Alpine and Nordic venues. Also, unlike in other places, it is customary to hike and exercise dogs on the tracks which adds to the patchy ski conditions. Therefore, some experience in coping with off-track and rough terrain is advisable here.

Beginner cross country week in Espadalen

We have had a great week of learning to ski with Albert. He was very patient and was always happy to meet our various problems. Great instructor who never panicked. Fantastic accomodation(basic but relaxed and homely). Stefan was always ready to help with all our needs. Surena produced such amazing Thai and European food despite having a three week old baby. Both always cheerful.

Unbeatable experience and value!

This was mine and my husband's first cross country skiing trip and we are so pleased we booked the beginners course. We consider ourselves fit individuals and did consider the intermediate course which is listed as suitable for 'fit beginners'. Several other very fit individuals on our trip also considered this option, but if you are a total novice to cross country skiing do not be tempted! It is much harder technically than you can imagine, but Albert our instructor was outstanding in gently encouraging and teaching us the basics so we could all achieve an excellent holiday experience. His skill is superb and because we were beginners he was able to give us the time to develop; but, if as one of our group was, you are skilled then Albert managed to find routes suitable for this skill level to practice on your own and which did not compromise the novice bulk of the group! In addition to the excellent leadership from Albert the hotel is also outstanding! Serena and Stefan make you feel like you are staying in their own home rather than a hostel and the food is exceptional. So by Norwegian standards of food quality and cost this holiday is value for money by the meals alone. Serena really goes out her way to cater for individual food requirements such as being a vegetarian (which I am) or having very specific food allergies - no one felt their meals were different or uninspiring because they were of the same excellent standard as the main catered food. If you are thinking about this holiday don't - just book it!

Kvitåvatn 2015

Have X-C skied in many parts of world, but after over 35 years still keep returning to Kvitåvatn because of the variety and excellence of the terrain and possible tours. Ski trails much improved for skaters this year, while snow conditions were wonderful in the mountains. New management and rebuild of part of original lodge both settling nicely. Ski hire and the ski preparation areas excellent as always. Food very good this year (copious smoked salmon every day!). Had to replace some ageing ski boots; the shop in nearby Rjukan -easily visited using free bus service - helpful and very well stocked.

Cycling in Rajahstan

Excellent trip with the benefit of a great leader. A full on trip with lots of variations. Only draw back was the lack of "down time". Also needed more shopping time.

Fantastic Trip

What can I say about his trip? I was a little apprehensive prior to he trip as I had read several reviews detailing how the bobsledding was quite rough on your body due to 5G and up to 120kph speeds, I needn't have worried, it was probably the most exhilarating activity I have ever taken part in! It is fast but as long as you have a reasonable level of fitness you'll just enjoy the ride. This is however only a small (if indeed the main) event in a fantastic weekend. The tobogganing was superb and the airboarding on Sunday morning was possibly my favourite, as you got to experience several runs from various heights - providing you could keep climbing the steps to get back up!!

Sri Lanka - sparkly people and some lovely scenery

Well we covered a lot of ground! There were some early starts and some of the places we visited were rather busier than expected. The main sites get a lot of tour groups and you can see that tourism is a major growth industry. The best bits, as ever on these types of holiday, were when we went a bit more off the beaten track.
