fantastic trip – really loved the cycling and felt I saw a lot of South East Asia a lot of other people haven’t. Don’t be put off by the cycling – it’s not as hard as it looks on paper and it’s a great experience!

What a wonderful trip that really did capture the essential elements of South Peru. Managed to fit in so much stuff but didn’t feel too rushed. There was a lot of time on the coach but that was to be expected, due to the size of the country.
Had an amazing time and would definitely recommend it!
There were many but the one that stands out in my mind was the sun gate at Macchu Picchu.
Lovely group of people and Leo our guide was great, as we frequently said we aren't sure what we would do without him.
Bring around £500 spending money. But also budget or tips and drinking water as well as eating out (which you will do for lunch and dinner on most days). Learn a few key phrases and do a bit of research on the places you will visit during the trip. Pack a rang of clothing, as the tempt ire can be very hot in the day and cold at night (layers are good) and a big enough day bag around 17 letters for water etc.
This was a fast paced tour of the three Baltic countries, starting off from Estonia and ending in Lithuania. All three were very interesting countries and much different than I had imagined.
Everything worked smoothly and there was never a dull moment.
The walking tour of Riga, Latvia was excellent as it is architecturally a very nice city. Some of us went on a canal boat trip which is a must-do. Not only do you pass through a tranquil park but you get on the big river and pass under massive bridges.
Our tour leader Jolita Auglyte was a rather bubbly Lithuanian who was quite knowledgeable. She had good organisational capabilities and kept the group of twenty together. She took us to very nice restaurants and was always at hand when required. Some of us came to like her very much.
Rain gear is a must! Euros are the best currency. Don't waste time trying to change Sterling Pounds. Atms are everywhere and easy to work as they are bilingual.
What a country ? Amazing scenery, great food and the most polite gentle people you could meet. What a trip ? Great itinerary going to some great historical places and beautiful scenery.
Cycling along the country lanes past paddy fields and Palm trees and villagers waving from their homes.
Suresh was great leader. He was always on the phone organising meals, hotels etc so our trip ran well. He is very proud of his country aNd put a lot into the trip to make sure we all enjoyed the trip and his country.
It is a hot country, so drink plenty of water !

This was a quite superb holiday in some of the most glorious mountain scenery imaginable. I really struggle to find anything to criticise – the route is fantastic, the hotels and food throughout exceeded our expectations, we had a great group and a quite outstanding leader. And hopefully we came home a little fitter than we left two weeks earlier, although because of the quality of the food you are unlikely to lose any weight!
Hard to pick one moment but our leader carried a bottle of bubbly to the top of the Brevant on the final day which was a memorable touch - excellent group karma!!
Frank Hibbert is an exceptional guide, with a very relaxed, unfussy personality that belies a vast knowledge of the TMB that comes with having walked it over 50 times! In particular his pace was superb for all of our group, and consequently we achieved the daily route in plenty of time and with ample rest and food stops. The TMB is not particularly hazardous but Frank kept a very close eye on weather conditions and assisted as necessary on the odd occasion where there is a little exposure.
You do not need to be an Olympian athlete but you will enjoy it more if you are mountain-fit which I would define as being confident in undertaking multi day walking of an equivalent standard of longish mountain walks in the Lake District or Snowdonia/Scotland. We were lucky with the weather, but as Exodus comments, it can and does rain. Your leader will make you walk if it does rain, so be prepared with good waterproofs!! Also, make sure you have good quality boots and socks which will not give you blisters - it is amazing how many people ignore this basic preparation (not in our group it has to be said, but we came across others, and they really, really suffer...)
Tranquil, beautiful and unspoilt countryside and mountains
Bran Castle is an absolutely gem of Arts and Crafts style palace. Sensational. We really liked the Saxon village and having drinks with the priest. The shepherds and the cheesemakers. The guest house was perfect. I really enjoyed just walking along in hot sunshine enjoying the place, the people and the view.
Unusual and sometimes a bit scatty. But generally knowledgeable and jolly.
Take a variety of walking boots and shoes. I mainly wore trainers which were fine. Bring wet weather gear. The restaurants and shops are quite cheap so you don't need much local money. The guest house offers a massage.
A good and enjoyable personal experience on climbing Mt Toubkal. However on the trip I was let down by the logistics which were not appropriate and fit for the purpose. We experienced just a couple of bad and worst weather on day 3 and 5 with strong winds and heavy rain which was enough to tested the tents. On these occasions I discovered the fragility of the tents(mine in particular) and the fact that they couldn’t resist to more than a couple of bad days.Furthermore the tents weren’t anchor properly and because of that the strong wind just blew one of the tent during the night3 and on few occasions the mess tent which was used to have our meals. Anyone with a bit of a knowledge about mountains knows how important is to have a good and safe tent to spend the nights on without worries that will blow away in any moment or that the water will come in.
The climb itself wasn’t as difficult as I was thinking and before the day of the climbing Toubkal Summit I could test myself on an optional walk up to 3700m. Nobody from the group experienced any signs of AMS(acute mountain sickness) but few vomited and had diarrhoea when we were at the base camp.
The hotel room from 1st and last day was comfortable, with AC and en-suite. The night spent on the gite was basic but after few days spent on tents looks heavenly.
The food was good all the way and if you are not very fussy about food you will enjoy it. However some snacks or energy bars are required to have them especially because the time between meals it is quite long and on the walks you will need some extra….
Water can be purchase every day of the trip, even up the mountain. For each 1.5l of water you will spend 0.30-0.45p and you will need around 3-4bottle daily, more if you intend to use it for wash too.Plenty rivers but nobody could tell how safe their are for tourists( as I was told by a local )
Money matter.Best way is to change at the airport, however plenty banks are in Marrakesh. On the trip everything has a price and mostly can be negotiate.Medina it is a big labyrinth so don’t go by yourself and most important do not listen nor pay the local for directions when you are in Medina, otherwise you will spend many hours inside with no possibility to go out and some money too.
Reaching the summit and deciding to go down on a different route which allowed me to see some beautiful scenery. The waterfall and the sunset from the day 3.
Diarrhoea tablets are a must .Sun cream protection, DEET 50%, painkillers, foot cream( your feet will thank you),Plus ANTIBACTERIAL WIPES!!!. Be prepared for bad weather which can make your trip a nightmare. If you pay for a single tent be sure that you'll have a quality one before starting the trip. Will make a big difference.
We would like to thank Dragos for taking the time to review his trip, although we regret that he felt that there was some room for improvement. We realise that regrettably, due to a miscommunication, our local team did not bring a single tent on the trek for Dragos and we acknowledge that the spare tent he was given was not of the standard we would have expected. We are very sorry for the impact this had on Dragos’ enjoyment of the trek and we have been in touch with him on an individual basis.

We have just returned from 2 weeks Tour Du Mont Blanc Hotel Trip. It was everything we expected it to be and thoroughly enjoyed the hike. I was slightly worried that I may not be fit enough, not done as much hill walking as I’d wanted, but as I’m an active person anyway I managed fine. Anyone not used to walking would need to do some hill walking beforehand. We were lucky with the weather, only one wet walking day.
A fantastic trip, can’t wait to plan another.
Everyday was fantastic, different scenery, the whole 2 weeks were great.
Frank was brilliant. Told us about the mountain ranges as we walked along. Set a great pace, catering for our group of 7. He got us all safely round the tour. Made sure we were all happy, luckily he didn't have any problems to resolve.
Go for it ! Don't pack too much, you won't need it!
We had an amazing 2 weeks with a lovely balance of seeing such a range of nature – turtles, toucans, caimans, crocodiles, hummingbirds, monkeys, frogs, snakes just to start the list – and adventure experiences – white water rafting, cloud walking, ziplining, bathing in thermal springs. Our guide was knowledgeable, organised and had a great sense of humour.. he made sure that the itinerary suited the group’s needs. Would definitely recommend Costa Rica – ideal itinerary for teenagers and pre-teens..
Watching turtles lay their eggs on the beach late at night.. very lucky, very magical.. White water rafting - just the right amount of exciting! Seeing coasts, volcanoes, cloud forest, rain forest - getting a good picture in just 2 weeks of all that Costa Rica has to offer..
Really excellent.. We felt very lucky to have him on our tour. Edward is a really experienced leader who is passionate about conservation and knows lots about Costa Rica's flora and fauna, about the country's history and geography. He was really organised and made everything seem effortless and had a lovely sense of humour which really contributed to the group's enjoyment of the week. He wasn't too intrusive and also not too aloof, just right. Can't fault him on anything..
Light clothing with long sleeves/ trousers to cope with mosquitoes especially at rain forest locations. You only need dollars, no point taking local currency. Take a decent camera.. wildlife photography opportunities are endless. Save money on water by taking a water bottle.. All hotels let you fill them up from water coolers. Take up the optional activities - turtles, rafting and ziplining are definite highlights.
