For Meeting Like-Minded Travelers

As the saying goes, “happiness is the only thing that’s doubled when it’s shared” – and we couldn’t agree more, as some of the most memorable travel moments come from sharing the experience with others. Our guided groups are typically composed of a mix of solo travelers, couples, and friends who all share a profound desire for travel and exploring different cultures. We often find that our travelers make lifelong friends on our adventures, with many returning to us to plan more trips together – sometimes even with the same local guide.

SOLO TRAVEL FAQs

Can I get my own room when I travel solo?

On our trips, we offer twin-shared rooms with a fellow traveler of the same gender, but if you’d like the flexibility to book your own private room, you can add a single supplement to your booking for a small additional fee.

This is my first experience travelling on a guided group tour, how does group time work?

Our small guided-group tours are led by experienced local experts and typically have 8-16 people in one group. Our itineraries are designed to showcase the best highlights and hidden gems of your destination, while also providing an inclusive atmosphere. During the day, you’ll take part in daily activities with your group, and your guide will accompany you to dinner and help you choose regional specialties. We also include some downtime and free days on our trips, where you can explore on your own and take advantage of your guide’s local knowledge to find the best restaurants, museums, art galleries, and more.

What will my group be like?

We are fortunate to have travelers joining us from all corners of the globe, with many coming from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and spanning a wide range of ages. Even better, over 50% of our customers choose to travel solo with us, so we rarely have a group that only has one solo traveler – most are a great mix of solos, couples, and friends traveling together. Before your trip begins, you will also be invited to join our “Departure Lounge” by email, where you can post a message, start a discussion with other travelers, ask questions, and share travel tips. This is a great way to get to know your group before you embark on your adventure.

Is it cheaper to travel in a group?

Surprisingly, traveling on a guided-group tour can be more cost-effective than traveling solo on your own, as you can split the cost of some optional activities with the group as you go. Most transfers, meals, and organized activities are also included in your booking costs, which can add up quickly if you’re traveling alone, especially if you’re looking to explore remote locations.

This holiday was everything it promised & more. The accommodation was fabulous & in a beautiful setting. 15 minutes walk from beautiful village of Castinella with a selection of shops & restaurants. The walks were well organised, taking in some amazing sights. We also really enjoyed the walking tours in Siena & Florence. Our leader, Jordan, was amazing. Informative, helpful & made everything fun. He brought the group together and we all came back having made new friends. Tuscany is stunning, the wine tastings were interesting & I would thoroughly recommend this trip.

Where to begin with all the superlatives of this trip……..from all the details that Exodus takes care of from the moment you step off the plane until the moment you step back on. They’ve thought of it all!! From authentic experiences, the places you visit, and people you meet, it cannot be beat. Each spot we visited was the perfect amount of time to spend at it with plenty of time to explore. If you go on this trip and are lucky to have Amer as your guide, it only enhances an already fantastic experience. His knowledge, passion, personality and fun-loving nature made this a trip I will never forget!

Michael Downey A Week in Jordan

A great trip starting in Ho Chi Minh where the pace of life is very fast with scooters everywhere. Then cycling through the countryside up 6 mile hills and down 18 mile hills. The scenery is stunning. The locals are always pleased to see you with plenty of waves and hellos. Time to chill out at Whale Island where the snorkelling is excellent and time to chill out on the beach. The overnight train to Hanoi was an experience but with 4 women in the carriage and a bottle of wine the 12 hours went very quickly. The visit to Halong Bay was amazing the boat was very comfortable and food great. The highlight oif visiting Halong Bay was the kayaking and seeing the monkeys on the rocks. Finally to Hanoi and back to the faster pace of life.
