Our Best Amalfi Coast Trips
Andrew Regan Amalfi Coast Family AdventureA wonderful way to see the Amalfi Coast. Our guide was a local legend and knew everyone, everywhere – meaning he gave us a real authentic taste of Italian life. Food, scenery, culture, shops, swimming, walking, cookery… we tasted it all.
June Horwich Walking the Amalfi CoastFantastic views of the Amalfi Coast were always in sight. Three of the hikes have a couple of thousand stairs each which made mornings a little less comfortable until our calves became acclimatized. The recognizable landmarks helped with orientation when we caught sight of them from varying perspectives on different days, thus providing a strong sense of the geography of the area. There are abundant olives, lemons, oranges, figs, and other fruits in terraced farms along the way, with occasional clusters of pale houses in the larger towns we visited.
Helene Belanger Walking the Amalfi CoastMy second trip with Exodus; did not disappoint. Lots of stairs, as well described in notes. Hotel great, food stellar
Nico amazing guide, Eduardo, amazing driver 😌
FAQs on Amalfi Coast Tours
Where is the Amalfi Coast?
Stretching along the southern coastline of Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula, the Amalfi Coast spans approximately 30 miles and features charming towns such as Amalfi, Ravello, and Positano. It is the ideal destination for a European trip.
Explore over 30 miles of coastline with popular towns like Capri and Positano, and visit attractions such as Il Sentiero Degli Dei, Villa Cimbrone Gardens, Duomo di Sant’Andrea, Villa Rufolo, and Duomo di Salerno. The best tours of the Amalfi Coast cover a wide range of attractions and towns, and with our expertly planned itineraries, you can arrive rested and ready to enjoy what the Amalfi Coast has to offer.
The two best seasons to visit the Amalfi Coast are the spring and the fall. This is because the weather is great but not too hot, so you can explore without needing frequent breaks in air-conditioned cafés. What’s more, these times are outside of peak season, so you’ll be able to enjoy smaller queues for all of the attractions.
Naples is the nearest airport to the Amalfi Coast. From there, you can get a train, taxi, bus, or ferry to your accommodation.
Given the high temperatures and UV rays, don lightweight clothing that covers your skin, pack a hat and sunglasses for daytime explorations, and bring stylish outfits for evenings, as the Amalfi Coast is renowned for its sophistication. Don’t forget to bring layers for the cooler coastal nights!
It’s sunny weather for most of the year in this part of Italy. Summer months like July average highs of 85°F and lows of 70°C, which makes it a great time for lying on the beach and exploring the beautiful islands just off the coast.
However, during the cooler months like January, you can expect highs of 50°F and lows of 42°F. There’s a lot of walking required during an Amalfi Coast tour, so some prefer to visit when the temperatures are lower.
