Very knowledgeable trip leader. She took great care of us.
The dinner at the restaurant in that way out place. Picnic lunches. The hike through the forest. The lunch at the winery on day 2. Swimming in the pools. The stars and the sunrise on the first night.
Lina is a fantastic group leader. So knowledgeable of everything.

From the moment we came through from baggage collection and saw the Exodus sign being held up we were looked after by Lina and Antonio, nothing was too much trouble

Lina and Antonio were fabulous guides and drivers with a wealth of knowledge and if they didn’t know an answer or translation they would soon get back to you with an answer.
The first vineyard that we visited was interesting and the guide we had was knowledgeable and very funny, the wine tasting was really good and the food that they had prepared for us was truly delicious. The walk around this vineyard was beautiful and some of us glimpsed a Kingfisher. Lina and Antonio were fantastic guides, very caring and couldn't do enough for us, even to the extent of pruning back brambles so that no-one got scratched or fell over during the walks. Carla's picnic was amazing, fantastic cook.
We could not rate them any higher, really lovely, sincere people who clearly love their country and environment. Knowledgeable, caring for the whole group. Great drivers, they organised fantastic and memorable lunches, 2 of which Carla prepared the food which was devoured by the group and enjoyed by all. If we had to say any more please keep employing guides of this standard.
The organisation and support from the leaders Carla and Fernando was superb, could not be faulted, they went over and above and made the trip. The locations were very well chosen and an excellent mix of walking, wine and port tasting and culture and information.

Carla was excellent. She was very well informed in all areas of the history and local knowledge of the area, fauna and flora etc. She worked tirelessly to make all members of group feel included and supported. Travelling as a single person, albeit with friends, this was very important to me. We felt very much part of the Costa family, and Carla went over and above to make our trip the best it could be. Her communication skills and English were very good indeed. If all leaders were this good I would travel with Exodus again. She is a valuable asset to your company.

She was a delight in every aspect, caring and worked over and beyond the call of duty - you are priviledged to have her working for you. The videos, and records she hade as a PDF of the whole holiday, and the setting up of the WhatsApp group was amazing. Asere were late arriving, she waited up for us and had arranged that we had food served in the restaurant, at a table with waiter service. What a lady!! Her local knowledge was amazing. Hernando, the other driver was in the same category.
We have been on 9 Exodus travels and enjoyed each one. They have all been quite different but the one we have just done has been especially good.
Each day brought different aspects of the region which is not on the general tourist trail so we had time to take in all the views and learn a great deal about wine.
Carla was the best Leader we have had with Exodus though others may have been close. She was caring to all in the group. She knew so much about the area and was passionate about it. All our questions were answered with a very full explanation. She gave everything to the group and she made sure we had fun as well. On our return she sent a video with photos of each day of the trip and notes of each day so we have a permanent reminder of the holiday and our fellow travelers.
Carla and Fernando were amazing guides. They went above and beyond- providing wonderful food, sending great photos and delivering a first class, informative service.

One of the best trips I’ve done…
This trip offered a mix of everything- beautiful scenery, lovely undulating walks through and around glorious countryside, vineyards, llevadas and small villages, wine tastings at some excellent local vineyards, excellent accommodation and good food.
Lina, our guide for the trip, was one of the very best. Thoroughly knowledgable and prepared for each day ( and ensuring we were too!) and always thinking about what little things or adjustments might make our days better, as well as being an absolutely lovely person. A guide can really make or break a trip – and Lina is definitely is the first category!
This trip was so good that despite the unusual June weather (so much rain for late June was not typical!) our group still had a really fantastic time.

Bring a swimming cap if you want to use the hotel pools! - It’s mandatory in Portugal and you won’t be allowed in without one. Flip flops also a good idea.
