This was an excellent trip that we thoroughly recommend, made all the better by our wonderful enthusiastic leader, Christine, and the lovely people we shared it with.
Most Inspirational Moment
Reaching the summit of Mt Vesuvius at the second attempt (thunderstorms prevented it on our scheduled visit) with our excellent guide Stefano. All the walks were very satisfying and we particularly enjoyed the time in Ravello.

Christine was excellent, enthusiastic, cheerful and professional at all times. She has great relationships with so many local people and dealt with all requests or problems efficiently. The duct tape has passed into legend!
Advice for Potential Travellers
Walking poles and decent footwear recommended for all the walks.

Ravello, my favourite town, looking down on Positano at the end of the Walk of the Gods, the views from everywhere, the tour of Pompeii.

Christine was unstoppable enthusiastic, knowledgable about the area, the culture, seemed to know everyone, great with all of the group and their individual needs and was happy that we could run, skip and be happy. Word of the week 'doable'!
Advice for Potential Travellers
Do take walking poles, the steps are part of the whole experience and there are lots. Take loads of photographs,

Amalfi
Very good trip, very scenic and good walks, although some more leisurely walkers struggled a little on the hills at first.

Villa Cimbrone, well worth a couple of hours.

Christine was very good, with good background knowledge and worked hard to make the holiday a good one for us. It also helped that she was well known and liked by all the locals.
Advice for Potential Travellers
If your knees are in any way dodgy, get the bus back from Ravello, don't go down the long steep and uneven steps to Amalfi. Use the extra time in Villa Cimbrone.
Almalfi coast
Excellent holiday, guide Christine couldn’t have been better. Walks were well organised and hotel was clean and comfortable.

Walking on the Amalfi Coast
A really good walking holiday with excellent views of the coastline. A full schedule meant we saw as much as we could and had great trips to Pompeii, Vesuvius and Capri
Most Inspirational Moment
I loved going up Vesuvius and inside the crater to see and learn all about the history of the volcano. It was well worth getting a guide to take you inside the crater.

Clair was brilliant and set a good pace on the walks and had a good local knowledge and the fact that she could speak Italian was a bonus. She also went the extra mile to help us gain a group discount on the ferry to Capri even though she was not organising the trip on our free day .
Advice for Potential Travellers
Be prepared for steps, up and down, and lots of them. If you use walking poles, they would be useful especially on the steps down

Pack for all types of weather , you especially need good walking boots with secure ankle support
Amalfi Coast
An excellent trip. Varied itinery with walks along beautiful coastline and trips to interesting historical sites. Trip leader was very knowledgable and the guides in Pompei, Herculaneum and Vesuvius were also excellant.
Great food in the hotel and enjoyed the cookery demonstrations!
