Great trip to a beautiful and interesting area. The fragrant wild flowers (in June) were an added treat. Probably not considered a headline destination but shouldn’t be missed. The local accommodation was clean, comfortable and hospitable and situated near two lovely villages.

Just back from this trip and left wanting to return. Hotel serves very good food and the staff really look after you. Each day is very different and full leaving very little time to sit by the small pool before dinner. You will see all there is too see on the Amalfi Coast which is absolutely stunning. I was with a great bunch of people.
Visiting Herculaneum, Ravello, Pompeii, Path of the Gods, walking up last part of Vesuvius and Naples. I intended not to visit Naples, however, I was pleased I did as Eduardo took the group to fabulous places especially a special restaurant for lunch.
Eduardo is very knowledgable and seems to know everyone along the Amalfi Coast! He arranges all the transport at the right time to suit each day. He took eight of us to Pompeii on the free day and arranged a guide.
The trip is full but you see so much so just enjoy every moment. You do need walking poles for Vesuvius and especially path of the gods. I did the 700 steps which was hard in the heat but would recommend as fabulous views. Positano is wonderful too especially the ice cream after walk!
Excellent staff and support. Fantastic views, riding and lunches!
The ride is in parts challenging which suited me. My wife is not such a strong rider and the support was excellent. From Salerno she was offer an electric bike which greatly assisted for the ride to Sorrento and back to Minori.
Parlo was obliging and very well informed with points of interest en route.
This is a must do ride!
An exciting trip with real bears in beautiful location.
Seeing bears from the bear hide. The fact that the minute we sat down, a bear appeared.
Thomas was kind, knowledgeable and fun to be with.
Take earplugs because the dogs really do bark all night long.
Absolutely loved the entire experience.
The most inspirational moment was reaching the summit on day 2, of Dead Woman's Pass. I had read so much about it and to finally know I could do the climb was amazing. Also the beauty of the location of our campsite on the third night took my breath away. I didn't want to leave
Just book the trip. Then get your fitness levels up. But don't hesitate, you can and will do it. It's totally achievable. Don't worry about the altitude. Follow the recommendations and you'll be fine.
Vaida is an exceptional tour guide, I would go on any trip with her. The biking was great and the areas were beautiful. Really get a nice sense of the country. But we had beautiful weather, very lucky. The one thing I would change is the hotel in Kleipeda; it was so terrible it almost ruined the trip for me. Also, vegetarians need to make arrangements – bring protein bars, etc, because it is mostly meat and fish.
Most inspirational moment of the trip was along the roads around Lake Peipsi. Beautiful houses.
She was exceptional, I would follow her on any trip.
This was a most enjoyable trip- a very congenial group of fellow travellers,a fabulous guide & getting up close to some volcanoes in the stunning Aeolian islands
Sitting on the rim of Stromboli in the dark ,on warm volcanic ash watching fireworks every 15-20 minutes preceded by a deep roar emitting from the depths of the earth. The walk back down the side of the volcano in the dark was pretty special too!
Maria Merlini was an exceptionally good leader - always in good humour despite the fact that she was unwell. She was very knowledgeable about the flora of the region as well as the geology & history.Always aware of everyone's safety & providing options for those in the group who didn't want to do some of the major climbs. Being of a more mature age she was perfect for our group who were all post 40.
This is a great trip if you would like to get really close to volcanic activityY
Very enjoyable trip. The trip was at a pace that suited myself and partner.
Visiting Pompeii and Herculaneum
Eduardo was very knowledgable. It was fantastic to have a local guide
We went in May and needed warm clothing
I was prepared for the altitude and had no problems after the first twelve hours in Cusco, but my wife suffered severe altitude sickness and gastritis, though she was able to complete all the activities and enjoyed part of the holiday. The rating of ‘moderate’ for this holiday is a generalisation that hides more than it reveals: the second day of the Inca Trail is very challenging indeed.
Seeing the extraordinary colours of the mosses and orchids of the rainforest on the Macchu Picchu trail, and the amazing geography of Macchu Picchu itself. Also the Corpus Christi processions on the afternoon of our full day in Cusco, which we knew nothing about in advance.
Fabrizzio, our group leader, was absolutely excellent in the way he dealt with my wife's sickness, making sure she saw a specialist in Cusco after having an intravenous injection at a government health centre on the way. This enabled her to recover and enjoy the last couple of days of the holiday. Generally he was a very caring person and very good at his job.
Chewing coca leaves and drinking the tea does really help with altitude acclimatisation, but you need to be strong and fit from the start. My wife's gastritis was, according to the doctor we saw, caused by the medicine she was taking. Having no gall-bladder, she needed to take Lansoprozole in order to tolerate the obligatory anti-malarials and the ibuprofen she took for muscular problems.
Most enjoyable 12 days, we found it a very interesting trip.
Petra, swimming in the Dead Sea
