Most Inspirational Moment
Gosh, there are so many inspirational moments!! I think connecting with the natural world -whether that be through seeing the vast range of animals and birds in their own habitats (including an incredible moment of seeing a herd of elephants at a water hole in Etosha NP), and the vastness of the landscape which was so varied across the countries. I particularly loved going to the Namib Desert and climbing Dune 45! That was incredible! Also, the camping in the Okavango Delta - was a little hair raising and had its adrenaline moments with lions and elephants in the middle of the night - but I wouldn't have changed it for the world! The camp crew here were absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend that Exodus use these guides again.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Sam - Omumborombonga Samoras - was absolutely brilliant! One of the best tour leader's I have met. He was absolutely on the ball and his knowledge of his country, Botswana, of the animals, plants and birds, was excellent. He kept us on track yet was also flexible to stopping and taking breaks when the group needed to. It was evident that Sam was super-experienced, and his great sense of humour kept us entertained. Michael was our driver, and again, was awesome to have on our trip with his brilliant sense of humour, his helpfulness, and his very safe driving.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Don't think twice about this trip - book it! You will not be disappointed! Take mozzie spray. You will need it. Be prepared for long coach journey's and very bumpy roads - but this is all part of the adventure.
Thanks so much for a wonderful trip - it was a life changing holiday!! Absolutely brilliant. Everything was so well organised - definitely keep using the local tour agent as they were amazing. The only constructive feedback I'd offer is for the two nights in Etosha to be split up so that you get to stay at a camp near the entry point and then on the 2nd night, a camp nearer to the exit point - because then you'd get to see different water holes and different parts of the park.
