The Blue Lagoon
Blue Lagoon Trips
The otherworldly Blue Lagoon in Iceland is an experience not to be missed. The minerals in the water render it a vivid milky blue, and with the temperature in the swimmable area around 40°C, clouds of steam rise above the surface. Bubbling up from subterranean sources, the soothing, mineral-rich water has curative powers, and after an afternoon spent wallowing in the waters here your skin is guaranteed to be silky soft.
Plaster yourself with the mineral-laden mud, let your shoulders be pummelled by the thundering waterfall, swim and use the sauna. Many of our tours to Iceland include Blue Lagoon trips – but if there isn’t one in the itinerary, there’s usually time to fit a visit in on the free day.
