The Baltics

Three Countries, Endless Baltic Charm

Ready to discover the Baltics? From Estonia to Latvia and Lithuania, explore medieval old towns, wild landscapes and cultures shaped by the Baltic Sea. The Baltics dazzle with colourful storybook cities, pine forests scented with adventure, and a coastline that stretches as far as the eye can see. Our Baltics tours link Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, three countries often overlooked yet brimming with character and history.

In Estonia, Tallinn’s medieval walls guard a capital alive with almost 5000 years of history. Latvia pairs grand palaces with cobbled towns worthy of a fairytale, while Lithuania offers rolling hills, tranquil lakes and the striking Hill of Crosses. Walk it, cycle it, or pause in a café-lined square. However you choose to explore, our expert local guides help you uncover the stories stitched into every stone and landscape. The Baltics prove that good things really do come in threes.

Highlights of our Baltics Tours

This trip was such an excellent way to see the best of Estonia and Finland in under a week! I’m an Exodus employee that has always wanted to discover this region but didn’t know exactly where I wanted to go. This trip was the perfect place to start! Tallinn’s medieval Old Town is stunning; a maze of beautiful historic buildings that have so much charm. The national parks are quiet and trails are not overcrowded, even in the peak summer months. Our leader took us for light hikes he called ‘forest therapy’ because of the peacefulness of the surroundings. Helsinki is an interesting city with a multicultural heritage, and it was fascinating to learn about the history of this area. Visiting Suomenlinna war fortress was an excellent way to end off the trip, a beautiful island fortress packed with memories of the past and the opportunity to see old war artifacts, cannons and even a 1930’s U-boat that was used during the war.

Krista R Estonia to Finland Adventure

An enjoyable holiday but wrongly classed as a walking holiday.
All the included walks were shorter than advertised and most of the walking was on city tours. There was a change to the itinerary from when I booked and instead of a walk to see sandstone cliffs on day 5 we had a 2.5 hour guided tour of Art Nouveau buildings in Riga. Acceptable on a cultural tour but not really appropriate when this is sold as a walking tour.
Most of the days were long, we rarely finished before 5pm and too much crammed in so that we always felt we were being rushed on to the next activity.
Hotels, apart from Islande Hotel at Riga, were good. Riga Hotel was just too big and almost impossible to get a seat at breakfast because of numerous large coach parties also at hotel.
Note for solo travellers paying single supplement – you will get a narrow single bed on at least 5 nights of the holiday.

Linda Stalker Walks of the Baltics and Finland

Maybe better description of mix of culture and walking to help expectations. Good way to see the two cities and get a handle on some of the culture.
