Cycling Vietnam Holiday
This trip provided a wonderful insight into life in Vietnam and took me from one modern city, Saigon in the south to another, Hanoi in the North. I learnt about the history, culture and the people and travelled on a train and three different types of bot. The cycling not only enabled me to improve my fitness, overcome personal challenges but also allowed me to get ‘up close’ to the people and wildlife in this beautiful country.
Most Inspirational Moment
Completing a 10 KM a sent up a 10% hill (or was it a mountain).
Thoughts on Group Leader
Yuan was an exceptional guide who went above and beyond the expectations of me personally and the rest of the group, many of whom like me, are seasoned Exodus travellers. Yuan was committed to ensuring we sampled all the sights, sounds and tastes of Vietnam and he had a great 'road team' to support him. He created a family for the duration of the holiday and he should be highly commended for all he did to make the trip so memorable.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Only to take a camel pack with a mouth piece for sucking water as I had one with a manual valve on the mouth piece. Cycling in the heat was a trial on some of the days and I would have found life easier with a better system for drinking.

Walking in Andalucia
A great walking trip with leisurely walks through the beautiful Andalucian countryside. Each walk had different elements with ample time to stop and admire the views. The guide, Alexis, was pleasant, well informed and knowledgeable about the area. He spoke excellent Spanish and liaised with the local people throughout our trip, ensuring that the needs of the group were wholly met. The staff at the cortijo were welcoming and the atmosphere was informal and relaxed – perfect at the end of a days walking. The food was excellent throughout the stay. The swimming pool is quite small but adequate for a refreshing dip at the end of the afternoon. I had a super time with my fellow walkers and have returned with many happy memories.
Most Inspirational Moment
Walking along the newly refurbished wooden paths through the Caminito Del Ray was an awesome experience. The geographical scenery was spectacular and crossing the small metal bridge across the gorge felt like a real achievement.
The trip to Seville was a fantastic experience - I would definitely like to visit the city again.
Learning how to cook a traditional paella was very interesting and the Flamenco dancers were a lovely surprise and fitting end to our week.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Alexis was the perfect guide throughout our trip. He was very friendly and accommodating and took time to chat to everyone in the group. His local knowledge was advantageous and he rearranged our timetable to take account of the (slight) rainy weather and slippery ascents/descents, ensuring the safety of walkers. Alexis shared facts about the walks and locations at every opportunity - keeping us well informed.
Advice for Potential Travellers

Classic Kenya Safari
What a fantastic experience! I had never travelled to Africa before and didn’t know what to expect. This trip exceeded all expectations. The wildlife was fantastic, the accommodation great, the tour leader extremely friendly and the group I was with all got on extremely well. I would highly recommend the tour.
Most Inspirational Moment
For me it was the feeling of adventure and anticipation I felt throughout the trip. We saw so much and experienced so many memorable moments throughout that I couldn't pick out one thing. Black rhino, elephants, cheetas, lions.... the list goes on.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Our leader Davis was excellent. He was very friendly and full of interesting facts about the area and the wildlife throughout our trip. He made us all feel comfortable from the start and does a great job! Thanks Davis.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Just go for it! This was my first group trip and my first safari and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Atlas Panorama
Amazing holiday. Well organised by Hassan. He was an amazing tour leader, and helped people in the group that had diffculties with the longer walks in the mountain and encouraged them to do them, to their amazement they accomplished the 10 hour walk with no problem.
Highly recommend this trip.
Most Inspirational Moment
The group was amazing and we all accomplished 10 hours of amazing scenery and keeping as a group.
The whole holiday was inspirational from start to end. Everything was arranged like clock works.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Hassan was a great group leader, keeping us all under his control and encouraged some of the group to achieve more than they thought possible.
He looked after us all with ease. Thank you for an amazing holiday!
Advice for Potential Travellers
A foodie tour is worth doing in Marrakesh.
Bring lots of layers as it is cold in the mountains and can be changable.

Also the fort in Jodphur, beautiful Udaipur, and sunrise at the Taj Majal

Chandra was absolutely excellent. I have travelled all over the world, and done 10 similar trips to this one with Explore and G Adventures, and Chandra was the best guide i have had - he's a huge asset to Exodus.

Great landscapes
The landscapes were fantastic. Real variety of scenery from rolling hills, to endless gravel sections, lots of gorgeous sand and small towns. Namibia has some fabulous food, extremely affordable. The bikes we hired were of fantastic quality too.
Most Inspirational Moment
Sunrise on the Sand Dunes. Incredible.
Thoughts on Group Leader
He was okay. Very organised, very safety and environmental conscious.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Pack a pillow! The accommodation is very budget. Even the last night in the Superior Hotel was not Superior. They were basic 2 star hotels. The camping equipment was great. Tents were spacious and put up and down for us - easy camping in my book! We were there in March and didn't really need a sleeping bag or any wet weather gear.

Highlights of Costa Rica
We drove some 1,300 miles (or was it kilometres?) in two weeks, travelling every second day so quite a lot of time was spent on the bus albeit with regular stops. The country is very varied with distinct geographical zones.
Most Inspirational Moment
Gliding peacefully along the waterways in Tortuguero.
Staying at the Esquinas Rainforest Lodge - wonderful.
Seeing the Resplendent Quetzal at Savegre and the wonderful humming birds.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Andrés was very knowledgeable about his country, patient and imparted just the right amount of information.
Our driver was Erik - a very professional and excellent driver who spent much of his spare time cleaning and polishing the bus. It was immaculate.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Monteverde - the suspension bridges/canopy walk was well worth doing, as were the butterfly and humming bird gardens.
Esquinas - at $15 their night walk was excellent (much better than the Monteverde walk) and we saw lots of frogs and a very venomous snake which the Esquinas guide gave a wide berth to!
Each of the lodges/hotels had laundry services, cost by piece or by the bag so I take a week's worth of clothes and get them laundered half way through as the humidity isn't conducive to getting things dry once washed. I packed my clothes in plastic bags so they didn't get damp.

Treasures of Sicily Review
Great, comprehensive trip covering most of Sicily. From walking on Mt Etna, to sampling the best seafood, wine and coffee in charismatic historical towns dotted all around the island, it was definitely a trip to write home about!
Most Inspirational Moment
Walking in the Zingaro Nature Reserve. The beauty of the rugged coastline, the views and being active in the sunshine was magical.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Danilo was fantastic. The fact that he's a geologist was a nice surprise. He provided valuable and interesting information about Mt Etna, and Sicily's landscape in general. He was also very helpful in giving restaurant recommendations, endeavoured to make everyone's holiday as enjoyable as possible.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Pack layers if going up Mt Etna. The sun may be shining, but the winds are still chilly in April!
