Thoughts on Group Leader
Excellent. I have done a number of walking trips in Europe and elsewhere with good guides but Jose was the best that I have encountered.

A really enjoyable trek in spectacular surroundings. The trek was made so much more memorable by the local guide (Jose Miguel) who was: knowledgeable, friendly, well organized and provided some much more information about the local history and customs. Each day was a different trek from a central location which was itself friendly and provided good food. I would strongly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to enjoy the scenery of this region but with the support of an extremely good local team.

Thoroughly enjoyed this trip. The experienced guide, Ale, and helper, Claudio, bent over backwards to be helpful and hospitable throughout. Spectacular scenery. Great accommodation (except to start with in in Chile but we understand they won’t be using Our Habitas again). Food (steaks!) to die for!
Perhaps reaching the 3,457m top on the final day after a l-o-o-o-ng (13.5 mile) climb. Other Exodus trips we've been on make more of building up to THE big climb of the trip but this was a bit low key. But this is a minor criticism. The geyser trip was amazing but it really was mega-cold (-8 degrees someone said) to start with. Salt flats were great too.
Ale did a great job - knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, capable. Gave good briefings. No criticisms. Claudio was excellent support.
Cycling was tougher than we expected - heat, ascents and quite a bit of gravel surface took their toll so if we did it again we'd want to be fitter (but I'd say we were 'moderately fit' which the grading specifies) . Exodus need to look at their grading system as this 'Moderate to Challenging' was much tougher than the 'Moderate to Challenging' of Kerala that we've done. Our biggest concern in advance was the altitude but this had zero apparent effect on us, except occasional shortness of breath walking around. It probably affected our cycling capability too but we weren't conscious of that factor compared to the other points above.
Well organized, great trekking, excellent food but above all our guide Edwind just made the trip for us all. He comes highly recommended. Reliable, friendly amusing and thoughtful.
The guides, the excellent food, both on and off the trek, the scenery, the extension to the rainforest.
Highly recommended for Tour Leader of the year
I felt that our tour leader and our support group looked after us exceptionally well. We were well catered for, the service was excellent and they were all very friendly and helpful.
The sun gate hike to Machu picchu, it was not very crowded when we got there so we had the site to ourselves.
I was very impressed with Edwina's professionalism, friendliness, knowledge and his attentiveness in particular to us showing any signs of altitude sickness.
It was all wonderful
He was wonderful in every situation
There are many. The Wadi Rum was stunning I loved it here so peaceful. Also enjoyed the back walk to Petra and Petra itself. St Catherine's was lovely and the museum artworks were gems. The snorkelling was amazing so many different colours and textures. Also the Egyptian museum and pyramid sights including the Sphinx. All the accommodation was good and beds very comfortable. The hotel in Dahab was a touch of luxury.
I would recommend this trip, in fact I would say it’s a must, especially if your interested in wildlife and get a better understanding of the socio-economic reasons why rainforests are being replaced by agriculture. From countless up-close wildlife experiences (I would say guaranteed) deep inside the rain forests to amazing natural geological wonders of the world, this trip just keeps on giving. As always our Exodus leader or guide was just excellent on every level. Jay helped up to understand the natural world and its unique symbiotic relationships and the recent balance and regulation to help protect the remaining rain forests. We always felt safe and often important as Jay was well known as a long standing guide in the area. I’ve come away feeling lucky to experience such a country and keep replying my memories so they become indelible ones.
Jay was always thinking of the group. I would go as far to say the reason why the group got on so well was due to Jay and his constant consideration for other, which rubbed off on us all. Jay is a major asset to Exodus and if I could book him again on another trip, I would.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Greece . The ancient sites were interesting and brought to life by the almost forgotten stories from Greek Mythology. The museums were excellent and complemented these sites. It was not just Ancient Greece as Mystras and Meteora were amazing too especially with their locations . We drove through some beautiful countryside and alongside the blue, blue sea. A well balanced trip
There were so many highlights but I think of all the places we visited probably Olympia was the most inspirational All those athletes in ancient Greece, many of whom travelled long distances , gathering together to compete
Eva was great. She was very friendly, very helpful and extremely knowledgeable She had an amazing way of bringing the places we visited to life with her tales of the ancient gods, goddesses and heroes , So much fun to have roles to play.
Make sure you add on a day or two extra in Athens either at the start or end of the trip
The holiday was well managed before and during, the group leaders skills in taking us around all the sites that we visited were very good.
Everything on the trip was equally good, the time spent on the Royal Lotus was very enjoyable.
Fantastic service especially from the local support team and guide.
Meeting local people , travelling on back roads through rural areas
Lam was a fantastic leader, friendly, well informed and incredibly diligent .
