Porto and Lisbon are fabulous places to discover if you have a few days and love coffee shops. Lots to do there, lots to see,eat and drink. I could happily spend 3 or 4 days in each city. Some of the small fishing ports were fab too. On the whole it was a little too windy cycling along the coast and uphill but i’m glad I did the trip.

It was a well planned and executed trip. All the details were taken care of. We really enjoyed it even though my daughter before the trip had food poisoning. She was taken care of by everyone specially Dinish and Tomaz.
Biking along the Atlantic and beautiful views.
Dinish was really amazing with the right temperament and leadership qualities needed to lead a group of 14 individuals with different needs . He motivated us to keep biking and giving the best. We would love to do more tours with him.
Training for this bike ride is important or else go with ebike option
I had such an amazing time on this Porto to Lisbon cycling trip. The routes were beautiful and varied, from coastal paths and sandy beaches to charming villages and historic towns like Óbidos. The pace felt relaxed and manageable, with plenty of stops to enjoy the scenery, food and local culture. The hotels were lovely and well located, and everything was really well organised from start to finish. It felt like the perfect balance of activity and downtime, and a great way to see Portugal in a more immersive way. I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting an active but enjoyable escape. I work for Exodus, and I can caveat that this is ideal for first time cyclists!
Cycling along the Atlantic coastline with endless ocean views was incredibly inspiring, especially the stretch through the dunes and lagoons near São Jacinto.
Our group leader was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable and really well organised throughout. They made everyone feel comfortable from the start and struck the perfect balance between being supportive and giving us space to enjoy the ride at our own pace. Their local knowledge added so much to the experience, from route insights to food recommendations, and they handled everything smoothly behind the scenes. It made the whole trip feel easy, relaxed and really enjoyable.
Pack light but smart—comfortable cycling gear, a good pair of padded shorts and layers for changing coastal weather make a big difference. Don’t underestimate the sun, even with the sea breeze, and bring proper sun protection.
It was a beautiful ride, every day a little bit different. Joao was an excellent guide.
The amazing Atlantic views at Mira and Sao Pedro de Moel
Excellent. Told us each day what to expect with expert knowledge and made me as a fairly inexperienced cyclist at my ease. It is important to be prepared and confident though.
Be prepared for long days but the coffee stops are great. All restaurants are well chosen so beautiful meals.
First cycling trip — we loved every part of this 5-day ride.
The never-ending, fascinating scenery — from the beaches to the hills on the final days. All destinations were amazing but Óbidos is one of our favourite.
João Colaço is an avid outdoor enthusiast with a passion for extreme sports. He is an excellent guide/leader sharing his knowledge and stories of this beautiful country.
We hadn’t cycled before in a group and chose the e-bike, which was spot-on for the final day.
I was a bit anxious at the beginning, but our guide João was incredible—he made us feel confident, safe, and motivated throughout. The group was wonderful, and the organisation by João and Tony was exceptional. I loved everything about the experience—even the long, challenging hills with strong headwinds! I couldn’t have done it without an e-bike and such a great leader. Thank you so much for an unforgettable adventure!
Reaching the top of each climb, wind in my face, amazed by the scenery and by what I could do!
João was an exceptional leader— always professional, kind, and full of energy. His clear and engaging briefings, flawless organization, and warm personality made the trip unforgettable. Every evening he brought the group together with great dinners and wonderful company.
E-bike for sure!
Great scenery, accommodation and guide.
The outlook over Nazare was amazing.
Leader was great, relaxed, informative and very positive.
Weather was spotty in late October, but still nice. Do some hill training before the trip, the last day was tough.
A fabulous week cycling from Porto to Lisbon
Stunning sea views and the picnic lunches made by Tony
João was fantastic. So helpful, well organised and knowledgeable.
If in doubt about your cycling fitness, get an e-bike. It made the trip a lot more relaxing and enjoyable.
Beautiful scenery, great leader and group, wonderful seafood, great experience.
Biking along the rugged Atlantic Coast and the beautiful beach towns.
João was awesome!
Enjoy the pace and take in all the incredible scenery.
We had a wonderful group of 16 riders led by our excellent guide Dinis, assisted by Philippe and our driver Tomas. All three worked very well together and provided excellent service and support to we 16 riders.
Completing a challenging hill ride on the last day.
Dinis did an excellent job.
Make sure when offered you sign up for the lunch package where you contribute towards a common Kitty and the staff purchase and prepare some of the meals and pay for other meals in restaurants that they've chosen for you. It's well worth it!
